On the other side of the canteen's backyard was a small garden where an old man was silently sipping tea and looking at the sky when Leatrix arrived.
"Hmm, Lea, what brings you here?" the old man asked, sipping his tea as he greeted her with a kind smile.
Leatrix sighed, her expression heavy with a hint of sadness. "I have to leave. This time, the symptoms seem to have appeared earlier than expected."
The old man's smile faded, replaced by a melancholy look as he gazed at her in silence.
"You had it hard. Go, I will take care of it." He nodded.
She smiled, but just as she was about to leave, she seemed to remember something: "Oh, and one more thing: I met quite an interesting guy; you can also try to see if he can meet your requirements."
"Hmm." Hearing these old man's eyes shine as someone caught her eyes cannot be ordinary. He didn't expect in a small village like Black Iron, there would be someone talented.
Ash, who was eating ferociously, had no idea that he had already drawn the attention of some of the village's most powerful figures.
After finishing seven or eight bowls of rice, he finally felt a bit relieved as his stomach settled.
Feeling good, he quickly left the canteen and came to the mirror to use his ability to see what he could see about himself.
[Ash/Asterion - Level 01]
"Ahh... That's it?"
This wasn't like the novels or games he knew—there should've been more information. What about strength, speed, or other attributes? How the hell was he supposed to do anything useful with just a name and level?
He felt a bit annoyed, as although seeing names and levels isn't entirely useless as he finds others' strength according to the level, he just might have hoped for too much.
But just as he felt disappointed, his eyes twitched, and the same sharp pain returned—almost as if it were protesting, saying, 'I'm not useless'.
Bang!
The floating name and level above his head disappeared, and slowly, a brand new panel began materialising, hovering right in front of him.

Seeing this, a smile appeared on his face, as finally something good he could see. But he was still surprised when he saw the row of Evolver in it.
He knew he awakened an ability when he started to see weird words floating above everyone's head, but now confirming it made him a bit dramatic.
In his previous life, he had hoped to awaken as an Evolver, but nothing worked. He tried countless bizarre methods—ones he preferred not to think about—and spent most of his scam... 'cough, cough' hard-earned money and resources. Sadly, it had all been in vain.
But now he, after coming to this world, suddenly awakened and fulfilled his long-lost wish.
He noticed that his Evolver level was at the early awakening stage, which is the first level of the Evolver transcendent path. This path is divided into early, middle, late, and peak stages, so he needed to do a lot of work to improve his strength.
After that, he noticed that he seemed to have become a martial artist, and it also showed that he reached third-rate martial artists. He didn't know much, but he seemed to remember thugs from previous lives, and most of them were said to be third-rate martial artists.
But the main thing was the talent he awakened because it is the source of the power of the Evolver and the most important factor in determining the potential of any Evolver.
His talent seems to be this eye power shown here as 'Eye of Myriad Manifestation', which he didn't understand much.
He cannot gauge its full potential as it's not simple. The talent ability awakened by Evolver can be weird and complicated with unknown abilities.
Evolvers could be either incredibly strong or surprisingly weak, depending on the talent or ability they awakened. In his previous life, Evolver's talents were ranked according to their perceived strength and potential.
The ranks ranged from E, the weakest, to S, the highest. However, these ranks didn't always reflect the true potential or strength of an ability, as they were based on human knowledge and understanding at the time.
In fact, new discoveries appeared every day, and many abilities revealed heaven-defying power only at later stages.
To make matters more complicated, some abilities were so strange that it was nearly impossible to categorise or measure them accurately, making the ranking system itself highly controversial.
So he cannot guess how good his talent is, but from the name, he can tell it looks grand and powerful. He can only hope it lives up to its name.
After seeing this, he acknowledged that his physical stats were a bit underwhelming. But he reminded himself that he was weak for now and could improve through consistent martial arts training.
He then walked outside to go to the only place where he could read books in this village, which was the house of an old man named Joseph, who seemed to love reading books and had quite a collection of them.
As for whether he could read, he felt it wouldn't be a problem. Along the way, he had noticed a teacher giving lessons in reading and writing at a small open-air school. Since the spoken language was the same, he expected the writing to be similar as well.
He strolled around the village for a few minutes and finally came to his destination. It was an old house, but it wasn't like his place—a rundown old hut—instead it was a well-made house.
