Meanwhile Kalè, sensing something off, glanced up at the ceiling just in time to see an inn sneaking to drop down, its hand reaching to grab her face.
"Hello!" it hissed, teeth bared in a wicked grin.
Kalè dodged swiftly as its hand crashed into the floor, sending cracks spidering in all directions.
Before it could react, Akin surged forward, slicing clean through its neck in a flash of blue flame.
The inn's headless body ignited, writhing and screaming as the flames consumed it.
"You bastards piss me off," Akin said coldly, watching the creature's final moments as his blue flames danced in the dim room.
Meanwhile, Peak watched with cold indifference as another inn appeared before them, blocking their path.
"Inns killer, huh?" A deep, ominous voice addressed them.
Akin's eyes snapped toward the source, locking onto a towering 6'3" inn. It had two curly horns curving backward and a cold, calculating look in its eyes. The inn was suspended in mid-air, legs crossed, almost lazily.
"I guess I should thank you three for taking care of my little headache," the inn said with a detached smirk, referencing the other inns they had just defeated.
Akin's rage flared.
"The hell are you? And who's your contractor?" he demanded, his tone sharp and filled with fury.
The inn simply shrugged, unfazed.
"You can call me Petter, though it's a human name. I don't mind sticking with it for now," he replied nonchalantly, not even bothering to make an aggressive move.
Akin's eyes narrowed, the tension in the air thickening.
"And I'm guessing you're inns killers?" Petter mused, resting his chin on his hand as he observed them.
Akin's frown deepened, his posture radiating anger. Petter, sensing the unspoken threat, smiled faintly but remained unfazed.
"Intrusive," Petter thought, eyeing Akin's menacing aura. "An inn who seems like he's on a murdering spree on his own kind uhh?!."
Petter's smirk never wavered as he continued speaking to the trio. "And about my contractor... that's really should be the least of your worries."
The atmosphere grew even tenser, the weight of the situation pressing down on all of them.
Petter's thoughts shifted as he observed Kalè's fiery glare and Peak's growing rage. Both of them seemed ready to leap into action, but it was Akin who commanded the most attention.
"Her," Petter mused inwardly, narrowing his eyes on Kalè. "She's the one that took down four of my clown so easily.. Then again , she's also an inn."
Shifting to peak glaring at him coldly and somewhat calculating.
"Him on the one hand seems like a real-"
But before he could delve further into his thoughts, Akin's voice broke through.
"I don't give a damn about your contractor!" Akin spat, his tone icy with determination.
"The only thing that matters is taking down that damn human traitor and your extinction from the world."
In an instant, Akin's blue flame surged forward toward Petter.
Petter, with a swift and effortless motion, floated back, evading the attack.
"That's a noble goal!"
Petter said in mockery.
Looking at akin as he descended back toward the ground, his gaze still locked onto into his.
"In fact quite idealistic but certainly unrealistic!"
Peter add calm, indifferent demeanor only seemed to provoke him further looking into Akin's eyes burned with a growing intensity.
"Bastard, just you wait!" Akin roared in fury, his tone dark and filled with rage as his gaze darkened. "I'll have your head in my hand and show you the carnage once my unrealistic goal becomes a reality!"
"Well, I'll love to see that. And once you're done come for then!"
Petter said lazily.
"Thought I 💯 doubt that. Cause it will never happen!"
Petter looking at akin as he could sense his heart slowly darken, and desires to eradicate them only burning bright along his ominous energy become more evident
"Anyways You all go ahead, have fun with my contractor," Petter taunted as he floated out of the window.
"If you can, that is!" he added, his voice darkening with an ominous warning. He flashed them a quick, mocking smile before eixisting.
The trio stood in tense silence, feeling the weight of Petter's words.
Just then Peak, sensing Akin's impulse to chase after the inn, grabbed his arm and held him back.
"Hold up. Remember, we're after the contractor," he said, his voice calm but firm as he looked into Akin's burning eyes.
Akin gritted his teeth, his hands clenched into fists, struggling to contain the fire of vengeance that was threatening to consume him. He wanted to obliterate every inn he encountered.
Meanwhile Kalè, who had remained silent, spoke up.
"Peak is right," she said, her voice cold but with an underlying tension. "The main goal right now is to capture the contractor."
Akin glanced at her, barely hearing her words as the rage continued to swirl within him. He could feel the vengeance coursing through his veins, making it harder to focus.
"After all," Kalè continued, her expression darkening, "the contractors are the real enemies to blame."
Akin's eyes hardened, his jaw tightening. Without another word, he began walking, Kalè and Peak following closely behind.
"Whether it's the contractor or the inns," Akin muttered under his breath, "all of them are going extinct."
