Enter A dark room.
The room was dark and ominous, its atmosphere heavy with foreboding. At the center, a childlike figure knelt, her back turned to them.
"Welcome, inns killers. I'm Volley, and I'm guessing you're all here to kill me," she said, her voice a mix of curiosity and taunting.
As She turned to face them, her eyes met Akin's blue flame sword, which was raised and ready to slice her in half within the span of a second.
Akin's furious glare faltered just for a moment, as he saw Volley float upward, an unsettling calmness about her.
"Impressive speed," Volley said, smiling as she twirled a finger in the air playfully. "Even caught me off guard!"
Her expression shifted, her eyes narrowing as she pointed at them, a childish smile still plastered on her face. "But I promise, I'll have you all dead before any of you can move an inch."
Akin's rage flared even hotter, "Save that in your fantasy.!"
"Cause I'll have you dead before you finish your next word!" he snarled, leaping into the air with a burst of fury.
"Yeet! You missed me," Volley whispered, her voice almost playful as she grinned behind him.
"Watch me make my fantasy a reality!"
In an instant, Volley kicked Akin, sending him crashing to the floor. He struggled to keep himself from hitting the wall, but just as he struggled with his balance, Peak reached out and grabbed him, preventing him from hitting the wall.
"Seriously, Mister Hothead! You need to read the room before blindly attacking," Peak said, steadying Akin and holding him up.
Kalè's focus remained on Volley as she prepared to continue the fight.
"She isn't human anymore," Peak said, his tone grim. "She's been possessed and completely consumed. That inn possessing her is now the contractor, unleashing his other inns."
Volley, with a mocking laugh, watched Kalè as she launched a flurry of white flames. "Wow, what a smart boy!" she taunted, dodging each of Kalè's attacks with ease.
"Watch where you're going!" Kalè calmly said with a smirk, her sword slicing through the air in a straight line toward Volley.
Volley's eyes widened in surprise, but she ducked just in time, laughing at Kalè's failed strike.
"You thought you could touch me, uhh?" Volley mocked, her laughter echoing through the room, hysterical and unhinged.
"Certainly did!" Kalè smiled as she watched her white flame catch onto Volley's hair, the fire burning the strands and cutting some off.
"Damn you, trash!" Volley screamed in rage, angrily cutting her burning hair.
"That's it!" Volley shrieked, her tone shifting to a ferocious roar of anger.
Suddenly, Akin, Kalè, and Peak noticed dark, swirling portals opening around them.
"She's summoning more inns into this world!" Peak thought, his eyes scanning the growing number of inns that emerged from the portals.
The creatures came in different shapes and sizes, some towering over them, others smaller but no less threatening.
"Well, if that's the case, I guess I need to get serious too!" Peak said, his grin widening as he turned his gaze toward Volley.
His demeanor shifted into one of pure rage.
"Mini, ready?" he asked, looking at his baby dragon, who was now frowning at Volley.
Meanwhile, Akin's mind was consumed by a dark voice deep within him, an oppressive presence that seemed to take over his thoughts.
"Kill them all! Kill them all!" the voice raged inside his head. It was like an intrusive thought, demanding violence.
"Kill them! Everyone!" Akin thought, his desire for vengeance growing uncontrollably.
But just as Akin's heart began to dark and consumed by hatred, a calm, cold voice cut through the chaos.
"Enough, Volley."
Akin, peak, and Kalè looked shocked.
A figure appeared from behind her, his presence almost overwhelming.
He stood tall, about 6'2", with black hair that reached the nape of his neck and sharp, grey pupils that gave him an air of authority. His calm demeanor contrasted with the ominous energy that radiated from him, a pressure so strong it sent a chill through the air.
The man reached out and grabbed Volley's hand, stopping her from summoning any further inns.
"And who the hell are you?!" Akin's voice was laced with fury, his breath ragged as he glared at the man before him.
Despite Grey's human appearance, every inn that Volley had summoned stood still in reverence to the overwhelming energy emanating from him. They could feel it, a dark and ominous presence that seemed to weigh down the very air.
Grey turned his gaze toward Akin, unfazed. The moment their eyes met, a strange sensation washed over him—one of power and danger that intrigued him.
"That energy pressure?!" Grey thought, a flicker of interest crossing his face. Yet, he remained outwardly uninterested in Akin's anger.
"Tell me, what ethnicity of the inns are you from?" Grey asked, his tone cold and emotionless. His voice was calm, but there was an undeniable force behind it.
Akin froze for a moment, taken aback by the sudden shift. Grey had moved so quickly, appearing right in front of him without any warning.
Meanwhile, Volley, still held in Grey's hand like a cat being restrained, growled at Akin in anger.
"Count yourself lucky my brother stopped me!" Volley snarled, her eyes flashing with hatred.
Grey barely acknowledged her, his focus still on Akin. "I guess he's too shocked to respond," he muttered, as if uninterested in Volley's outburst.
"We'll see you next time, when you're less scared to answer me," Grey said, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. His expression was enigmatic as if amused by the entire situation.
With that, Grey levitated upwards,
"Bastard, get back—" Akin's furious words were cut short as the ground shook beneath him.
Akin, who was ready to charge toward Grey, stopped in his tracks A massive force slammed into the ground, sending dust and debris flying into the air. Akin instinctively raised his arm to shield his face, the violent gust of wind nearly knocking him off balance as it threatened to blow him away.
