DAISY POV
"What did he say?" I asked Stefan.
"He wants to wait it out." he uses his fingers to make air quotes.
"Maybe he has a plan," I suggest.
"Well if he had a plan, he didn't share it with me."
"So what are we going to do?"
"Well, I am going to call the bastard and warn him to stop and retract all statements; otherwise, I would deal with him."
I looked at him skeptically.
"Do you think that would work?"
"Yes, it would work. Why wouldn't it work?"
"Do you even have his number?" I asked him.
"Yes, I do. There is no information I can't find out."
"Except that of your little one," I muttered.
He glared at me and said nothing.
He called Mr Marquez.
The conversation started casually but soon turned into a yelling match which ended with Stefan slamming his phone down on the table.
"I assume that didn't go well?" I asked him.
