Wow! Declan was bold. Just one day of partnering with the Selene group and he was already hanging calls on me.
"Mummy!" Rhea and Rigel ran to me.
"My babies, Rhea, you seem much happier today. Was your friend around today?"
"Yes, Mommy, you were right, they were busy," she replied.
Rhea was purposely using the article 'They' to refer to her friend so I wouldn't know the gender.
"Rhea, can I meet your friend too?" Rigel asked.
"No, this is mine, you already have a lot of friends." she protested.
"Rhea...be nice." I scolded her gently.
"I am sorry Rigel. I didn't mean to be rude." she apologized.
"It's okay Rhea, I forgive you. Twins?" he held out his pinky finger.
"Twins," Rhea said with a smile as she hooked her finger with his.
"Mommy, we need to buy these things for our art project for school." Rigel handed me a list.
"Okay, when is this due?"
"Tomorrow," Rigel replied.
