Chapter 4
Naya's point of view
I couldn't tell my mom all that was going on with me, because even if I request her to keep it a secret, chances are she'd blabber it out to her soon to be husband before I could stop her. Can be willingly or forcefully, judging the said husband is one heck of a shady man.
I found my way to the palace hall, and the wedding is even yet to start. I couldn't help my ears keying into the conversations flying around to realize that it is until the day's evening, words are the Alpha King is waiting for his sons.
There was nothing much to do, I volunteered to help decorate the hall but I was casted aside. I whirled away, deciding to take a stroll through the whole palace.
I walked out to the hallway, strolling downwards and with no idea of destination in mind.
I kept walking down, walking past numerous doors to different rooms. A lot of rooms are surely in here, damn! Does this palace housed like the whole pack's citizens.
I was nearing the corner that would have me branching right when I overheard voices, two voices not one. Curiosity had me moving close to where the voices was coming from.
It was from the room ahead of me with few paces, took my steps silently to arrive at the door. The door was slightly opened so I had the privilege to peep inside to know the voices possessors.
My sight caught Alpha Adrien's body, he was the one talking in there with someone. I peeped further, but there was nobody else in the room with me.
I relaxed my hearings so I can eavesdrop, perks of being a werewolf.
"You're going to connect now with your daughter, and find out everything she's hiding Incase she's hiding anything. Alright?"
"Yes, alright." My mom's voice responded. My head stretched out to look into the room, wanting to confirm the presence of the voice I heard, but my mom was nowhere in sight.
Okay some mysterious stuff is definitely going on.
I need to find my mom. She's not going through with this wedding, I'm not going to let it happen.
I walked past the room, delving through the corner and continue my journey through the long ass hallway. Where is my mom's room located in here?
How would I even know that when I got here just yesterday? It's either she rooms with the Alpha King, but her room is near his chamber. But where is he chamber? Was it the room I saw and left him?
I stopped my parading, to think and deal with this rationally.
"You! What are you doing there?"
My head turned to face the voice muttering the statement, and there he was. All stud and stoic, anticipating my response to his question.
"Looking for my mother, any idea where she is, Your Highness?" I bowed at him, making sure to keep my glare hidden, and to feign ignorance at our encounter yesterday that I can still very much can recall.
"No…" his response came out slurred, and I sighted him taking slow steps towards me.
"Oh. This is going to be our first time meeting each other, I'm Naya by name, congratulations on your union with my mother. Albeit, it blacklisted our face in your community." The moment I said that, he stopped coming close, as if he suspected my memories weren't wiped and he knew I still could remember our encounter. Hence, coming close to confirm.
He chuckled, "You don't have to be extra formal talking to me, I'm going to be your stepdad and I look forward to having one of the the best relationship with you. So call me Adrien, and I'm sorry for my chaos. Hey, look up at me!"
I did by his words, looking up into his friendly face. A smile courted his lips, and his facial wore a warm welcoming expression.
"The wedding is about to start, my sons are here, they're already at the hall with your wedding. We should go meet them?" He relayed the information, pushing out his hand for me to take.
"I have to ease myself, I will be right behind you whenever I'm done." I found a way to decline his offer, not wanting to go with him.
He nodded in agreement, marching out of my sight. A deep sigh fell out my lips the moment I'm sure he's out of sight.
I glanced around, to make sure nobody was around me or was looking as I trotted into the room I saw Alpha Adrien, or as he requested me to address him, Adrien earlier talking to my invisible mother.
My instincts were firm that something shady hides inside this room, and I'm willing to explore and know the mystery about this man.
I don't know where specifically to start my search after entering the room, but the door that looks like it leads to the bathroom is a suspicious spot to begin.
This is a place built in wealth, there is no way there'd built a door to lead to a bathroom. Life is modernized, and we now have aluminum.
I went to the door, working the knob to open the door but it wasn't working, I kept on trying and all to no avail.
I had to summon my werewolf strength and jam the door open, revealing a scorching darkness that instantly sucked me in.
"What the hell!" I gasped out, my eyes opened but visible to nothing.
Everywhere was pitch black, but my feet still stood on a surface.
"Where the heck is this?" My voice echoed indifferently as I walked through the darkness, my hands held out Incase there is a wall, barrier, or something hard ahead that could hit my face and hurt me.
"You're in my prison!"
Out from the dripping silence, a cold voice aired, clearing the suspense that had me halting and shivering, adrenaline rushing through me in folds.
"And you're mate!"
The voice repeated.
