Chapter 5
Naya's point of view
Prison? What did he meant by that? And mate how? If he's being real, then why wasn't I feeling the mate bond. I'm not feeling anything other than the eeriness attached to this dark scenery. Which is absurd, considering I know all there is to know about the mating shenanigans.
"You can't feel the bond or pull because of me. I'm cursed." He spoke out into the darkness, clearing the confusion storming through my mind.
Albeit, rising another. How did he know what I was thinking about to give a response? Unless he's a mind reader.
"I can read minds, yours isn't an exception." His tired grumpy voice came up again, ceasing my befuddled thoughts.
If he's reading this, then he needs to stop reading my mind. And he needs to tell me where we are? Where I am? Where is this place? What is this place?
"Mate!" A different masculine voice penetrated the silence; sounding tired still, and my shadowed face creased back into confusion.
How many people are here? I thought it's a prison that belongs to whoever spoke to me first. How is this place even a prison? What kind of prison is this place?
Void and lifeless, an environment situated deep within a trudging darkness. Those were the perfect description to this place.
"I apologize, it's our prison. Me and my two brothers!" He confirmed.
"She's also my mate!" Another weary voice announced. His words pushing my agitated state deeper into a violent commotion.
"Who are you guys? What do you guys mean this is your prison? And how can I be mated to three people I can't even see?" Innumerable questions poured out of my mouth as I tried asssesing the situation, but still everything remain foggy.
"How did she even get in here? How did you get in here?" One of the male voices quizzed.
"I-" I tried responding, but then realized I had no idea how. I was just looking to find some skeletons in the Alpha King's closet when I jammed into this said prison.
"I don't know." I answered seconds later, sincerely because I truly don't know.
"How do I get out of here? I don't belong here. My mom is getting married, and I need to be with her." My mind had reeled back to my mother, she's probably on the lookout for me.
I look around in darkness, not really sure of what I was looking to find or even do. Everywhere was pitch black, nothing can be seen. I'm feeling like a shadow.
"There's no getting out mate, now come to me. I need to feel you, I need to feel my mate!" The same cold voice that spoke to me upon my arrival here casted once again.
I scoffed at his words, "Who are you people? How am I mated to three people at once? I'm so confused right here." I thirst for some answers.
Never has it been said before in history that a wolf got mated to three mates, never! Not once, not twice.
Why would the moon goddess pair me with bunch of unknown cursed creatures. For all I know, they could be goblins or some monstrous beings.
They literally admitted to being cursed and locked into a prison.
"You do remember me telling you I can read minds right, and how openly I have been reading your thoughts. You think of us as monsters?"
"Stay away from my head!" I yelled out, really triggered by the lack of privacy.
"If you don't want me believing you guys are monster then start telling me about who you guys are? Humans? Monsters? Vampires? What?"
"We're the Alpha-" his voice cut unable to finish his sentence, hindered by a rough cough rumbling the silence.
I was about asking what is going on with him when another voice joined him in coughing, the same went for another one that happened to be the last one.
They began coughing loud and hard, dry coughs strong enough to suck on a life force.
"Are you guys okay?" I tried asking, but my voice got shadowed by their loud coughing.
Are they dying? What is happening to them?
I trailed their voices, letting their coughing sound guard my movement inside the darkness as I seek them out.
The voices got louder, signaling how near I was. My hands stretched out and I paced more slowly. Soon my hand met with a body, and all of a sudden he stopped coughing.
While the remaining two were still coughing their life out through their throat.
I turned away from whoever I was with quickly, pursued the other voices to find them and also touch them.
I sighed after touching the last one and he stopped coughing.
"What?…."
I heard a manly gasp from the one I was close to. I think it has to do with their coughing coming to stop after my palm came in contact with their body.
And they weren't the only one confused, because how and what is that?
"Azriel, Vladiel, are you both feeling the same?" He questioned, and in contrast to how he sounded the first time I heard his voice.
He sounded normal, energetic and far from tired.
"It's like she wiped our curse." Another responded, sounding stunned.
"Azriel, Vladiel, and Cadriel." I called the names silently to myself, gasping at the realization.
"The Alpha Princes!" I mouthed in shock.
Wait! How?
The alpha princes are imprisoned? They're cursed?
Myriads of questions seeded into my mind. I still remember the Alpha King telling me his sons arrived already and were waiting at the hall for him.
The alpha princes are supposedly studying abroad, not imprisoned.
I was still settling with the fact when my breath began hitching, failing and oxygen becoming hard for me to take in.
I stepped back from where I stood, unknown pain searing into my system, like an unyielding blaze engulfing its surroundings.
Pain like never before overwhelmed my body. I wanted to scream, but my voice seemed cloaked. I wanted to cry, but I just couldn't.
My body, my head, my hands, everything felt rigged, as if trying to survive inside a relentless inferno everything in its path.
'What is going on with me? What is happening to me? Why am I feeling like this?' I cried out inside my mind, hoping hard that the creepy mind reader is currently reading my thoughts.
"Mate, are you okay?" His grumpy voice called out, but h sounded so far and shallow.
My head banged, and my lids pulled close with my consciousness finally failing.
I dropped to the floor lifeless.
