Of course, Elen was also scolded for raising his hands against a teacher and for beating a schoolmate.
But that incident came to an end pretty quickly. After all, the old lady, Gracy, was sitting in front of the principal with a smile the whole time he was scolding Elen.
Although she hadn't talked and just sat there smiling, the principal, being a veteran of the same generation as her, knew very well what would happen next if he continued speaking and quickly waved his hand dismissing Elen and Gracy.
Since that incident, even teachers were a little afraid of this black and purple-haired boy.
"I really hate it when someone calls me a girl," Elen started to walk towards Ans, the big boy, step by step with puffed cheeks.
"Boss... boss, you came to school today. I thought you would be absent again," Ans said as he backed away with each step Elen took forward.
"What, am I not allowed to come?"
"Hehehe... boss, you are really funny. Why don't I give you this chocolate as my apology? They are really sweet," Ans said while taking out two colorfully wrapped chocolates from his pant pocket.
Elen looked at the chocolate in Ans's hand and said disinterestedly, "I don't like sweet things."
Ans slapped his forehead and said, "Right, right, how could I forget that boss doesn't like sweets. Then, why don't I treat you to meat fried rice at the cafeteria?"
Elen paused, and after thinking about it, he turned to Joshua and said, "Then let Joshua come with us. We can talk about the magic class together while eating."
Ans's mouth twitched upon hearing this. "Pay from your own pocket if you are inviting that mouse with you, purple-haired idiot," he cursed in his mind.
Joshua thought about it and shook his head, "You go, Draven. We have Miss Celin's class on medicinal plants after the break."
"Yes, yes... boss, the mouse has class..." Ans was also about to support Joshua, but before he could, Elen held his collar and forcefully made the big boy bend to his eye level.
"What did you just call him?"
"Sorry, boss, my tongue slipped. It's Joshua... Joshua," Ans said with cold sweat on his back.
Whenever he looked into Elen's eyes, he felt as though he was looking at a dark, endless abyss. This was the main reason why he always feared Elen.
Elen let go of his collar with a snort and walked back to Joshua, dragging him along towards the cafeteria. "Forget about the class. I have already completed the entire textbook. Just ask me if you have any doubts. You don't have to be burdened about the money, as it will be Ans who is going to pay the bill."
Ans also followed behind with a sour look on his face.
At the cafeteria...
"Uncle, three plates of fried rice. Oh, make my plate extra spicy," Elen said to the man at the counter of the cafeteria with a smile.
Since young, unlike other children who liked to eat sweet things, Elen liked spicy food, especially meat.
The middle-aged man at the counter looked at the three boys in front of him and asked Elen with a smile, "Brat, don't you have class now? Did you get your teacher's permission to skip the class?"
Elen waved his hands and sat on a chair at the cafeteria, which was now mostly empty as it was class hour. "Yeah, we asked," Elen lied without even batting an eye.
The middle-aged man shook his head, as it was not the first time Elen had lied to him about the same matter. "Steve, three plates of fried meat rice and make one of them especially for Elen, extra spicy."
After some time, a fat man wearing a chef's uniform came out of the attached kitchen of the cafeteria with a tray holding three servings of meat fried rice in his hands and said while placing it on Elen's table, "Huh... this brat skipped class again,"
"Good morning, Uncle Steve. You are as handsome as always," Elen said with a sweet smile to the man who was frowning at him.
"Stop buttering me up. How many times have I told you not to skip your class? The principal had especially warned us not to give you any food if you come here during class hours."
"My grandma also told me to tell her if anyone bullies me. Uncle Steve, it's not that I want to drag you into problems, but I am very hungry and I think I will faint if I don't eat anything now," Elen said pitifully.
"Oh, has Gracy gone so poor that she can't even feed a cocky little brat like you enough to fill that little stomach of yours?"
"Maybe I should inform her that her grandson is coming home famished every day."
Just then, a slightly aged voice came from the entrance of the cafeteria.
When everyone turned around, they saw an old man with a full beard standing there with a mocking look on his wrinkled face.
Joshua and Ans stood up and immediately greeted the old man, "Good morning, Principal."
Edward Hail, the principal of White Dragon Academy, looked at Elen, who was still eating his food without a care in the world, and asked in a dark tone, "You brat, why are you not greeting me?"
Elen replied without looking at him, "Grandma told me not to stand up once I start eating, even if a god comes in front of me. It will be insulting to the food in front of you if you stand up without finishing it."
The old man's mouth twitched upon hearing this. After all, he and Gracy had studied in the same class, and he knew her strange ethics very well. "Always using your grandma's name to scare others, do you really have no shame as a man?"
Elen looked at Edward as if he were a fool and said, "I am still a child, not a man."
"So, you are aware of that fact, i thought you really don't know you are a child. " Edward said mockingly, he then looked at Joshua and Ans, who were still standing there like fools, and added helplessly, "Sit down and eat. You two can leave after that; I want to talk to Elen about something."
Joshua and Ans nodded like chicks pecking rice and started eating silently.
