**Chapter 35: Killing the Ghost**

There are no ghosts on Blue Star.

Once, a pilot had dropped a "little boy" over Neon Country, and that pilot lived to the age of 92. This was considered proof that Blue Star was devoid of specters.

However, with the revival of psionic energy, dark forces have begun to resurface.

The Skrulls exploited the "Psionic Fountain" to unleash a host of monstrous entities—beings reminiscent of the creatures from "Ultraman" and the terrifying deep-sea horrors from "Pacific Rim." Yet, these colossal monsters would not make their appearance until months later. For now, the Skrulls could only create a horde of ghosts that ran rampant in the human realm of Blue Star.

The combination of local ghosts and foreign apparitions gradually formed a significant threat to humanity during the first three months.

What Su Yu aimed to do was find and eliminate these ghosts. This was not only crucial for the safety of humanity but also for his own gain; by dispatching these specters, he could reap valuable rewards.

After more than an hour of searching, a piece of news finally piqued Su Yu's interest: "Tunghai University is preparing to establish a teaching team for Hope Primary School."

On June 2nd, at 8 AM, Su Yu drove to a supermarket near Tunghai University. He had come specifically to investigate a tragic incident from his past life, where Tunghai University had organized a rural teaching initiative. During this event, more than thirty college students and numerous teachers from Hope Primary School mysteriously died.

The incident caused a significant uproar. The government dispatched a considerable number of police to investigate, yet they uncovered nothing, not even the cause of death. It was only three months later that experts revealed the truth: a ghost had haunted the location, specifically that of the female teacher leading the team, Fang Min.

Being an alumnus of Donghai University, Su Yu felt a strong sense of responsibility to prevent this tragedy from recurring.

As he stepped into the supermarket, he made his way to the toy aisle. There, he spotted Ultraman masks, models, and other merchandise. The sight of an Ultraman mask sparked an idea in his mind.

Reaching for the mask, he instead pressed his hand lightly against the wall. A surge of electricity flowed from his palm into the wall, targeting the surveillance camera above.

**Crack!** The strong current short-circuited the camera, rendering it useless.

With a calm demeanor, Su Yu quickly stowed the Ultraman mask in his jacket and strode toward the exit. As he left the supermarket, he took care to disable all other surveillance cameras, ensuring his actions remained unnoticed.

Once outside, he was cautious of the presence of surveillance cameras on the street. Activating his [Invisibility Technique], he moved swiftly forward in an invisible state.

He seamlessly infiltrated the school, using [Blink] to avoid any cameras and employing electric magic to disable those he couldn't evade. His skills had been honed from multiple incursions into Skrull bases, making this school infiltration a trivial matter.

After reading the teachers' duty roster in the office building, Su Yu made his way to Classroom 301, where Fang Min, the leading teacher mentioned in the news, was lecturing.

Fang Min, a young teacher appearing to be in her late twenties, stood at the podium, instructing her students. As Su Yu positioned himself outside the classroom door, he could already sense a powerful ghostly presence.

"It's her! No doubt about it!" he thought as he donned the Ultraman mask. Kicking the door open, he stormed into the classroom.

Fang Min, startled by the sudden intrusion, backed away. "What do you want?!" she exclaimed, realizing something was amiss.

Without answering, Su Yu advanced swiftly, striking her across the face. At the same time, he channeled lightning magic through the slap to dispel the ghost within her.

As she recoiled from the impact, a dark, indistinct shape erupted from her head and shot out the window.

**[Soul Eating Ghost Lv9]**

A level 9 ghost? Su Yu noted with concern. Although it was a higher-level ghost, it posed little threat to him.

Stepping beneath the podium, he summoned the [Village Chief's Staff] with his left hand and leapt out the window after the apparition.

"Lok'Tar'Ogar! Taste my power!" he shouted, unleashing [Lightning Arrow] upon the fleeing ghost.

**Zzz—Zzz—**

Thick black mist billowed from the ghost as it writhed, seemingly pleading for mercy. Unfazed, Su Yu unleashed another [Lightning Arrow], obliterating the ghost and transforming it into a cloud of inky mist.

As he descended from the third floor, he activated [Blink] to ensure a safe landing.

**Thud!** Su Yu touched down smoothly on the ground.

Meanwhile, the students in the classroom were utterly stunned. They had just witnessed a young man in an Ultraman mask burst in, slap their teacher, and leap out the window with remarkable agility.

"What just happened?" they murmured, some instinctively reaching for their phones to call for help.

Peering out the window, they saw the strange man sitting cross-legged on the ground, seemingly meditating as a foul-smelling black mist lingered in the air.

Confusion spread among the students. What in the world was going on?

Yet, amidst the chaos, one beautiful girl felt a flicker of recognition. The figure of that young man seemed oddly familiar.
