Mia's POV
I found myself drifting again. It started with the usual pull, a familiar tug that dragged me out of whatever I was doing, into a state of confusion. The world around me became blurry, twisted, and rearranged itself until I wasn't where I had been. Instead, I was home.
But this time, I wasn't in my room or hospital like the first time. Instead, I was standing in the hall. The old furniture looked exactly as I remembered it, down to the fraying cushions on the couch and the wonderful smell of mom's lavender air freshener. Selena sat there, sprawled comfortably on the chair with her legs tucked under her. Her focus was fixed on the TV, where an episode of Merlin was playing.
She didn't even glance in my direction. Acting like she couldn't see me.
"Really?" I muttered under my breath, furious. "You're doing this again?"
