I came out of sickbay just days before after getting the latest upgrade after finding something acceptible to the Doctor. A wireless communicator linked to my ship.
He was surprised as I nixed that idea when we first installed the harness control systems but since then we had a encounter with a sapient warhead. They used a damn advanced encryption system for their communication systems.
Almost unbreakable.
With Sevens help we constructed a subspace link using a similar encryption system and linked it to the Serenity.
As it was the Doctors idea in the first place he couldn't very well veto it. I now have full access to Serenity's systems and database anytime I wish to. I have taken to downloading a copy of Voyagers database into hers as well.
I shake my head as I go through the debris on the bridge of the Equinox. Poor ship.
Ransom and his crew are in sickbay getting checked out and I'm on the team B'Elanna sent over to give a complete damage report on the ship.
"This thing is a wreck." Harry comment and I nod
"Agreed. Honestly, we are better of looting anything useful and join the crew into Voyager. I'm going to go check engineering."
"That wouldn't be advisable. Captain Ransom said it was flooded with thermionic radiation." and I nod
"Yes, but I am shielded. The power might only last 15 minutes but honestly, I wouldn't want to stay longer than that anyway. It's enough for a quick scan to determine the damage however.
I make myself down to engineering before bringing my shields up to maximum. I frown slightly, the powerdrain is high, I need to recharge when I get back to Voyager. I then step into the radio active engineering section.
I do a quick but careful reading of everything in there with my tricorder, documenting everything before leaving after five minutes. I also took the extra time to scan everything in the lab next to engineering, getting me out of there with five minutes of power to spare.
Once I'm back on Voyager I hand the data over to B'Elanna before heading to sickbay to get a checkup to make sure I wont glow in the dark in case the shielding was less effective than I thought.
The reaction of the crew on the Equinox on spotting me was amusing and pretty much boiled down to "What the balls..."
With readings of engineering it didn't take long for B'Elanna and Seven to figure out what they have been doing on the Equinox. Killing sapient beings and converting them into a power source to push their warp factor to a silly level.
Janeway didn't take well to these news.
She ordered them to be put under arrest and into the brig.
Their Doctor broke them out with our Doctors mobile emitter. Due to new security they where unable to access transporters so instead they make their way down to the shuttlebay. I don't know what they are planning but Serenitys sensors pick them up as they enter the shuttlebay.
They check the federation shuttles first before moving to the 'alien' ones. With a thought I unlock Serenity's airlock.
When they notice one shuttle being unlocked they pile inside and start trying to access the controls.
Ramson turn to his commander, Burk "See if you can locate the transporter. We might be able to beam from here to the Equinox."
As I make my way towards the shuttlebay with a security team I cant help but grin slightly.
Onboad of Serenity a small red holo hologram of what look like a cuttlefish flicker into view above the main control panel. Ransom frown "What the hell..." before a voice start to speak
"Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding."
Ransom keep trying to access the controls before kneeling and pulling the cover of the nearest access hatch as I reverse the environmental control system, pumping oxygen out and carbon dioxide in.
"You exist because I allow it. And you will end, because I demand it."
As the equinox crew start to lose consciousness their Doctor keep trying to access Serenity's systems until I destabilize him by overloading a relay he was standing next to.
When I arrive with the security team I open the door to Serenity and pick up the Doctors mobile emitter, giving it a once over. I dont think I did serious damage.
The rest of the Equinox crew are fine. As soon as they passed out I turned the oxygen back up enough to prevent brain damage.
I flip the mobile emitter in my hand with a frown before heading to the transporter bay, I need to go get the Doctor from the Equinox databanks.
Then there is these damn beings that are still trying to drain Voyagers shields...
