Chapter 6 - Revelations and Tests

The three students were called, and they walked up to Officer Janet. Erie noticed something—one of the students mentioned had the same exact hair and eye color as him. "She has orange hair and orange eyes too?" And just like Erie, her band glowed with a clear coat. As they walked closer, Officer Janet raised her hand toward all three students and instantly teleported them to General Ruthghart's area.

Alex stood alongside another tall boy, who was about three inches taller than him. Alex was already tall at 6 foot 1, which meant this guy was 6 foot 4. Erie, standing at 5 foot 10, observed Alex and the taller boy conversing. He noted the other guy's band, which glowed grey and purple. "What's his ability?" Erie wondered.

"Hey, Erie!" Alex called with a wave. "Come on, I'd like you to meet someone!"

Erie watched as Officer Janet teleported away, leaving the students under General Ruthghart's supervision. Erie then glanced at General Ruthghart, who stood there smiling. "This general's strong smile freaks me out," he thought. He then walked over to Alex.

"Hey, Alex?" Alex looked at the tall boy. "This is Jake Wolf! Ignore his white hair and freaky white eye."

Jake looked at Erie and reached out for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Sunheart." Erie reached back out. "Nice to meet you as well."

Erie's face scrunched as he stared at Jake, then he pulled away. Jake looked at Erie. "Are you okay? I wasn't using my ability on you." Erie stepped back "Yeah I'm fine."

"Okay! I am happy you boys and gals got to meet everyone now" General Ruthgart said

"Take a look around you, as you see we are now about to take our little test."

Erie looked around him some more, he took note of Lilly Mayhem, she carried Duel swords on her back, and apart from the other students, they did not carry any weapons.

Many relied on their abilities, especially those with a fused ability, which had become more common over the last 200 years. Having a weapon was a sign that you had no ability, or only one, and needed outside help to rely on it. Although this was an old mindset, many believed it was best to train without weapons because it would provide extra strength and make combat training void.

Lilly Mayhem walked up to Erie, staring at him intently. Her serious demeanor was throwing him off. He started to scratch the back of his head and reached for his pendant out of nervousness. "Oh yeah, it's no longer here," he thought.

"Ugh, hey, I'm Er—" he began.

"Shut up," Lilly interrupted. She snapped again, "Fight me after this training," then she walked away.

Although Lilly had a stern look, her beauty wasn't something to laugh at. No matter where she went, many people tried to talk to her. Some old, some young, and even those in high power all wanted her attention. Her facial structure was one to be held as a lady of the state. Her body figure was perfect in most eyes, with her orange hair, orange eyes, and perfect skin that seemed as if she'd been sun tanning all summer. The boys behind her were jealous that she spoke to Erie and not them.

As everyone walked up to General Ruthghart, Erie looked around and realized that everyone's band, except his, Gene's, and Lilly's, had a color. He wondered why he had been selected to test with the ability users.

Alex walked up to Erie and asked if he knew her. Erie declined and mentioned he had never seen her in his life. Alex noted that they both shared the same skin complexion, orange eyes, and orange hair.

Jake walked up to Lilly and tried to place his hand on her shoulder to introduce himself. She then reappeared on the opposite side of Jake, causing him to miss his hand landing completely.

Lilly stared at Jake as if daring him to try to touch her again. She then reappeared next to Erie, still staring at Jake. Erie continued walking, feeling the weight of everyone's eyes on him and Lilly. "Are they siblings?" someone murmured.

Alex walked up to Jake. "Hey, nice try dude, but I don't think anyone expected her to have a teleportation ability."

Jake commented back, "I don't think that was teleportation. It's something I can't seem to replicate."

People started to murmur more, "Hey, I think she can teleport."

"Yeah, she just reappeared next to her brother. Her brother must be a teleporter as well because his band is glowing like hers."

General Ruthgart began to notice the chatter and stepped in.

"Everyone must I remind you, that we are all here to focus, don't waste your energy on petty things we need to grow stronger everyone!"

Lilly let her hand blades go, and it seemed as if she was moving fast forward up to General Ruthghart.

"What the hell was that?" a student yelled in the background.

"hey, Erie. did she tell you her ability?" Alex wondered

"No, she never told me, all she said is that she wanted to fight me and then walked off" Erie replied

"Well her ability seems simple enough I believe we both can beat her with our eyes closed you know" Alex shouted back.

After Alex shouted the words, people stared at him, and Erie felt eyes boring into the back of their heads. They didn't like that Alex was talking about picking a fight with their tan princess.

"Hey, I think you should calm down with the fighting words. I'm already weak, and I don't want to have enemies over a girl we don't know," Erie said in a hushed tone.

They all finally reached General Ruthghart's location. "Alright everyone! Today you will be taking your tests individually! We will call your names and you will be transported to your testing areas. This way, your skills will only be known to you, and we will have your skills on staff. This way, we can track your improvement!"

"Now, with that being stated, Gene and Erie, please come up!" Gene and Erie began to walk up, and Erie noticed Gene's eyes turn from black to blue in the sunlight. "Did his eyes change colors?" he thought.

"Go ahead and transport them!"

Erie, and gene Erie and Gene were instantly transported to a combat facility. "Since you two have been selected, we noted that you two aren't human.
