Lilly was called next. She had a pair of dual swords strapped to her back, and she was dressed like a ninja. The dual blades didn't look like the average ones; they looked like speed blades with a strong defense. The blades shone as if forged from high-end metal, golden in color, and incredibly shiny. The swords were made using energy orbs and orichalcum. The golden color of the blade was sharp and looked light to carry. They were straight and smooth, with the hilt of each sword curved to fit Lilly's hand perfectly, as if they were made just for her to wield. These were called energy weapons. A sword made from the heart of a beast, energy orbs, or energy metals. When the Sun Warriors introduced themselves, they showed the humans how to use the energy from the hearts of the beasts, which were called energy orbs. Each beast's energy orb had special properties and gave special powers to its weapons.
When the Sun Warriors and other races were discovered, humans were taught how to travel to planets with life. They were given advanced technology, ships, teleporters, and dimension-hopping transportation. Human scientists and those with abilities quickly learned the process and adapted. This led to humans discovering their first beast planet with an energy orb and later realizing that different levels of energy orbs and beasts can be used.
Later, humans discovered different planets and found that the planets themselves also had energy orbs. They started calling these mining orbs. Eventually, a specific orb was found and placed on the planet, giving it its first mining orb and a beast with an energy orb.
To see Lilly using dual blades was different. The dual blades would give her a speed boost if used properly, which is why no one wanted to use them during training or testing. It was also rare for a student to have them, especially golden ones made from orichalcum.
Lilly was already at the starting line. Officer Janet waited for Lilly to prepare herself instead of starting without warning. Erie noticed this and remarked, "Yeah, wait for her to be ready." Officer Janet shot Erie a sharp look, then told Lilly to start.
The test started, and Lilly dashed through the energy balls firing at her. She seemed incredibly fast, leaving afterimages as she dodged each energy ball. Targets popped up from the ground, and she performed the same move, slicing all three targets, each slice leaving an afterimage of herself seemingly hitting and cutting all three dummies at once. The dual speed blades in her hands were like extensions of her body, moving with precision and agility. She then placed the blades back in their hilts while touching the wall, and in a blur, she sprinted back. She touched the wall, took a step, and suddenly, she was back at the finish line.
"Dude, she wants you to fight her?" Alex said. "Is that a speed ability or teleportation? I can't seem to tell."
Jake stepped up again. "It's not teleportation, but a space-time ability," he clarified. "I can't replicate that yet, but one day, I will be able to."
The test was done in an instant. It was like watching a superhero movie, or the Flash moving through a battlefield. Erie saw how the weapons suited Lilly so well; they were a perfect combination, especially when attacking with a certain ability. The weapons made these abilities a lot stronger.
Erie wasn't sure what he wanted his ability to be. According to Jake, Lilly had a time-synch ability. "If that's the case, then an elemental ability might not stack up against her too well." Erie wasn't sure how many abilities were known, especially with fusion creating new and never-before-seen abilities. All he knew was that he needed an ability for himself.
The military only offered elemental types of abilities, and they only taught up to year six. This was a deliberate move to limit abilities and keep the best techniques reserved for those at the top. This will ensure that students without talent do not grow stronger than their masters.
In the last test, Lilly was told not to use her ability so they could properly measure her stamina. She then ran the mile, moving fast and strong. It seemed as though she didn't skip a step, miss a beat, or falter in her stride. She finished with an impressive time.
"Time, 2 minutes and 99 seconds." Erie's jaw dropped as he heard Lilly's time. Officer Janet continued to speak. "Great, Lilly. You are a strong user, equivalent to a year 5 student, so we will give you a 7."
Lilly's watch was updated; it now displayed: Year 1, Grade 5, Level 7.
Lilly rolled her eyes, walked up to Erie, and stared directly into his eyes. Then she rolled her eyes again, walked off to the side, and sat down to meditate.
Alex couldn't help but take a jab at Erie. "Dude, what have you done to her?"
Jake also intervened, "Are y'all siblings? Is she mad at you, Erie?"
Erie watched Lilly as she sat down and started to meditate. He ignored Alex and Jake as they talked to him, trying to focus on his system because a notification had popped up.

"I guess I have no choice then. I need to reach level 5 though."
The next person called to take the test was Alex. "Wish me luck, dude." Alex walked up to the starting line, his goofy smile turning serious. Before Alex started running, Erie noticed the earth forming around him, and his body ignited into flames. Alex dashed through the energy balls, shooting out lava balls at the targets and knocking them out instantly. He touched the wall and used the lava flames on his back as wings, quickly darting through the finish line. But instead of stopping, he screamed because he couldn't halt his momentum. He crashed into a wall behind them, instantly knocking himself out.
Erie began to run towards Alex to see if he was okay, but Officer Janet teleported in front of him. She told him that Alex would be transported to the medical bay, and since he is a fusion, he is automatically scored at the highest level. The test would now move on to Jake.
Jake stepped up and mirrored Alex's move. His body erupted in flames, wings sprouted from his back, and fire waved through his body. He moved swiftly past the energy balls, duplicated himself into two non-flaming clones, and they all attacked the dummies simultaneously. With flames trailing behind him, Jake touched the wall and sprinted back to the line.
"So he can copy and duplicate himself? Is he a fusion also?"
