Chapter 5 - A trap

Alec wasn't actually planning to leave her behind after he saw her pitiful state but he didn't want to be the one to tell her to tag along and he was a little weary because for all he knows she might as well be a trap.

But he was relieved that wasn't the case, she was genuinely lost and was very happy to see him stop to help her. Well, now she was going to be spending some good time with him because he isn't ready to go back or help her look for her family now.

He just needs a freaking break.

After two hours the car finally pulled up Infront of an average cozy two story building having a pitched roof and rectangular shape. Alec got out to open the gate as he didn't keep servants at his private house. Raquel had slept off at some point and he scooped her in his arms and carried her in, not wanting to disturb her as he knew she needed to rest.

He proceeded to lay her on the bed but he realized she really needed to wash up so he gently tapped her a few times and she flickered her eyes open.

Raquel looked around in dazed confusion, trying to understand where she was, her blurred vision landed on a familiar face and she rubbed her eyes with furrowed brows before opening them again, finally recognizing the man Infront of her.

"Where are we?" She asked in a groggy voice

"Fair you need to get up and take a bath, you smell like..." He trailed off and rubbed his nose

Raquel blinked several and looked down at herself, he was actually right, she knows she was far from being clean now and to think he did put up with her during the ride and also carried her in, she didn't remember walking in by herself.

Her face suddenly felt hot and she held back a smile, he was such a perfect gentle man

"What is funny?" He frowned at her, Alec couldn't understand what she was trying not to laugh about.

"Um.. nothing.. I mean thank you"

"What for?"

"I-I meant to say.. where is the bathroom?" She roamed her gaze around, the room

was painted with a light gray color, the king sized bed she lay on took half of the space in the hard wood floored room, a night stand with lamp and outlet was at the edge of it, the windows had sheer curtains and a few nature artwork hung on the wall.

The room didn't seem like where someone like him would stay in, he obviously screams of wealth and his car must have cost a fortune so it was quite surprising he lived in this kind of average place that just invites rejuvenation and resting.

"Your house?" She asked him and he gave her a 'if it isn't my house then is it yours' look. Raquel clamped her lips together and asked another question "What is your name?" She didn't expect him to answer anyway

"Alec.." he replied surprising Raquel

"Alec Quin" he completed

"Wow! you have a nice name, I'm Raqu-"

"Fair! that's your name now, Fair, I don't want to know your previous one" he didn't even let her complete her word before interrupting her and walking off
