Raquel was very speechless, what does he mean by that, she didn't want to be called a name that is not hers
"Hey I'm not Fair! My name is Raquel Russell, and that is what you are going to call me!" She chased after him to the living room and he abruptly stopped, causing her head to bump into his broad back
"Ouch..!" She scrunched up her face and robbed her forehead
"Raquel right?" He asked and she nodded "well that is a nice name but Fair is nicer" he flashed her a smile that made her to forget to breath.
His palm was on her head the next moment as his finger gently rubbed her forehead "breath Fair, you can't keep forgetting yourself like this" heat rised to her cheeks and she lowered her head in embarrassment.
Raquel took several breaths to calm her nerves, this man had an unhealthy effect on her. He is simply too gorgeous!
"Where is.. the bathroom?" She changed the subject and asked again
"Go back to that room a bathroom is attached to it and it would be your room until we are done here" he said walking to the sofa to sit down
"Done here? Where are we?"
"In the middle of nowhere" he smirked
"What do you mea-"
"Getting cold feet now? You didn't ask where I was going when you asked me to take you along" He stood up and moved to her "we are in my private place at the outskirts of the city, so you are safe. Now you will be a good girl, don't ask questions and go take a bath or I'll throw you back out" he gently turned her around, and pushed her towards the room.
Raquel decided not to ask more questions and proceeded to the bathroom, she discarded her ragged clothes, loosened her hair which took a little time as it was tangled and stepped into the shower.
She let out a soft moan as the warm water touched her, feeling extremely good, when was the last time she had such a nice bath? It was either she washed herself on a freezing river after long hours of farming or not bath at all.
A bitter smile tugged at her lips as she remembered the hell she had lived through for the past seven years after losing her loving parents at twelve.
She missed them so bad each passing day, tears stung at her eyes and she hurriedly blinked them back, crying wasn't going to solve her predicament now.
The stranger, Alec was her only hope now, she would try to know if she can be of any use to him so he won't abandon her.
Even if she has successfully escaped that hell hole, she couldn't stand against her uncle now, infact there is no means for her to survive alone and considering how she looked now, nobody would believe her even if she goes around the streets screaming that she was Raquel Russell.
Raquel knew she needs to be careful for now and not alert her uncle lest he targets her and probably kill her off, she needs help and.. a carefully planned calculated move.
