Raquel took a good hour showering and washing her hair, she also brushed her teeth, after which she tied a robe available and walked out of the bathroom.
She moved towards the dresser in the room, which has a mirror and ample storage.
She drew out the chair and sat down, she pulled the towel below her shoulder to reveal her fair skin, there were visible old and new marks on her body inflicted by a whip and a few insect bite.
"These will take a while to heal" she muttered to herself.
"A good treatment will make it heal faster an not leave scars also"
Raquel flinched hearing the familiar voice and snapped her head to the door, Alec leaned on it with folded arms and crossed legs, his brows were creased in a deep frown as his sharp gaze was focused on her body.
"Why are you here?" She narrowed her eyes at him and covered herself up immediately.
"You've been bathing for ages and I was beginning to think you got drowned in the shower or something" Alec shrugged as he explained
Raquel scoffed "Drowned in the shower? Is that even possible?"
"I don't think it is but who knows? I shouldn't expect less from you Fair"
"Who was it that stood at the center of the road in front of a speeding car again?" Alec smiled "the same person could get drowned in a shower"
Raquel's lips twitched, this man would taunt her to no end "you don't have to rub it on my face you know, desperate times calls for desperate solutions" she reasoned out
"Wow, wow that was a good speech to justify your crazy act" Alec couldn't help but want to annoy her more.
Raquel decided to say no more as she already knows she couldn't loose to Alec "you know what? Just leave, I need to get dressed"
Alec turned serious "was it that bad?"
"What?" Raquel blinked, she didn't quite get what he meant by that question.
"The place you escaped from, they did this to you?" He moved closer and held her hand, his fingers slightly grazed an almost faded scar on her upper arm.
Raquel felt her skin tingle where he touched her, she put his hand away from her before replying "actually, 'bad' is an understatement, it should be 'terrible' instead. It was very terrible!"
"Hmm..." He nodded "what did you say your name was? Raquel.. Russell?"
"Yes that is my name"
"You are Raquel Russell?"
"Hmm"
He went silent for a while before saying "I see.."
"Is anything the problem?" She asked
"Nothing" he breathed out
"it's 2pm now, get dressed and come out I made lunch, use the deodorants on the table and I will get you a good ointment to apply on those scars"
"You will find suitable clothes in the closet to wear, and please Fair fifteen minutes should be enough for that. Don't start a skin care routine now, you've already taken much time"
"Apply enough hair cream and comb your hair well also, you look like a ghost"
"Alec you-" before Raquel could say anything, the door got banged as Alec exited the room and she could only stare in speechlessness.
