Let's revisit the events of Year 1 with the addition of Demons and the sentience of every race:

Year 1 – The Birth of the Sentient Races of Tempest
---
Day 1: The Awakening of Sentience
1. Formation of the Land:
As the primordial energies shaped the continent of Tempest, the land solidified under the influence of Titans and Dragons. The Titans carved mountains and valleys with their immense power, while the Dragons scorched the skies and seas, molding the world into a place of both fire and stone.
2. The First Sentient Races:
From the very beginning, every race that emerged on Tempest was sentient, each gifted with intellect, culture, and purpose:
Dwarves immediately sought the riches of the earth, burrowing into the mountains to begin forging tools and weapons.
Werewolves embraced their dual nature, forming tightly-knit packs and establishing early traditions tied to the cycles of the moon.
Goblins emerged as cunning survivalists, forming hidden networks of tunnels and creating their own tribal societies.
Humans, though fragile compared to others, developed early settlements and adapted quickly to the changing environment.
Feathers, born of the sky, created lofty aerial nests, drawing upon the wind and celestial magic to guide their fledgling culture.
3. Demons Emerge from the Abyss:
Alongside these races, a new, darker power awoke from the very core of Tempest—the Demons. These beings were born from the chaotic energies at the heart of the world, thriving on darkness, fire, and destruction. Their emergence sent shockwaves through the continent as they quickly carved out their own infernal realms, deep underground and in the volatile volcanic regions.
Demons had an innate hunger for power and conflict, and though they were sentient, their society was driven by a harsh hierarchy, with the strongest ruling over vast infernal legions.
Though the Demons clashed with other races, especially the Dragons and Titans, they saw themselves as rightful rulers of the darker parts of Tempest.
4. Rise of the Giants:
The Giants, closely related to the Titans, also became a fully sentient race, setting out to explore the towering peaks and wide plains of Tempest. Though they revered the Titans as their forebears, they had their own culture, one focused on harmony with the elemental forces of the world.
Giants constructed massive strongholds and temples in the highlands, their society built around reverence for the natural forces they controlled: earth, storms, and fire.
5. Angels Born from Union of Blood:
The unique union of Titan and Feather blood resulted in the creation of the Angels. As they awakened, the Angels, fully sentient from the start, retreated to hidden sanctuaries, choosing to observe the world before interacting with the other races. Their dual heritage of strength and flight gave them unmatched potential, though they remained mysterious to the other races for centuries.
6. Dragons and Titans Claim Dominance:
The Titans and Dragons, as the most powerful races in existence, claimed dominance over vast regions of Tempest. The Titans established their colossal homes in mountain ranges and underground caverns, while the Dragons claimed the skies and volcanic regions.
Though both races were sentient, they did not initially engage in societal organization, preferring to live as individual entities. However, as the world matured, the need for cooperation and territory disputes would push them to form their own early civilizations.
7. Ancestral Beasts Awaken:
The Ancestral Beasts, creatures of immense power and wisdom, also rose from their long slumber. Beasts like the Ancient Gryphons, Phoenixkin, and other legendary creatures quickly established their dominion over vast territories. Though they were sentient, their cultures were closely tied to the natural world, and they largely avoided contact with the other humanoid races for many centuries.
8. The Shadow of Unknown Gods:
Watching from afar, the unknown gods—Moon Goddess, Space God, Slaughtered God, and Frozen God—remained hidden, their influence subtle. The Moon Goddess, in particular, quietly guided the ebb and flow of magical energy across the land, while the Space God ensured that the boundaries of Tempest were firmly sealed from the outer cosmos.
