"Ok Ivy," Jiang Yong said entering her dressing room.
They were already at the media building, waiting for the time her interview would start.
"It would start in few minutes. I hope you are ready. How do you feel? Nervous?" he asked standing behind her.
Ivy was sitting in front of the mirror, her make up already done for the interview. She was currently at her dressing room assigned to her. In the empty room, only their voices filled the air.
Ivy looked at him, through his reflection and said, "Of course not. What was there to be nervous for?" it wasn't her first interview and she never shied before the camera. No panic was inside of her except that of seeing the results after the interview, to see if their efforts paid.
"You are the nervous one between us," she pointed out.
He gave her a nervous smile, "It's that obvious?" He asked.
He was freaking out. He was the one who proposed the idea of the interview and made the necessary arrangements. If anything went wrong, he would have to endure all the consequences and more fear on whether or not all his efforts would pay. As much as he wanted to remain the light of positivity between them, he wasn't blind to not see how the real situation was truly.
She nodded, "You don't have to worry. Seriously, what could go wrong? None of what she asks could be beyond me. The person I can fear is yet to be born," she assured him.
The only thing she was wary of, and was sure to occur was the interviewer prying in her private life. It was business focus interview but she was sure, the only reason they accepted was because of whom she was.
"Of course." he placed his hand in her shoulder, "With you by our side, who can we fear?" he said. Her words successfully calmed him. Ivy was the one in the front line, she could deal with what ever was threw on her.
Looking at their reflection, he couldn't stop himself from seeing how good they look together. Their similar pale skin and their matching aura.
"Nothing," she said placing her hands above his, " I'm the best," she added.
"Yes you are," he agreed, leaning down before resting his chin on her shoulder, their head touching.
"Look at how beautiful we look together," he pointed out, staring at their reflection.
"If only you could see that as well." He added. It was hard for him to have her so close, at the same time so far.
Feeling the dense air that filled the room, and not wanting to make Ivy uncomfortable, he added,
"You should rapidly change your mind before the perfect man I am catch someone else interest. It would be a shame to miss the good party I am," he said, a playful smile on his lips.
Ivy matched his expression, "What a lost would it be. I shouldn't miss it,"
"No, you shouldn't. But you are so slow, don't cry later when it would be too late," he leaned further in her, taking in her scents.
Ivy didn't push him away, making his hope grow high. Perhaps, she would finally give in to his feelings. He didn't push his luck and straight up, but his hands still remained on her shoulder.
"Ivy! We finally found you," Liam said entering the dressing room.
The duo turned their head to the door, at the sudden noise. Liam and Andy stood at the door, without missing the special atmosphere they walked in. With a shared look, they decided against asking questions.
"Finally!" Ivy stood up, " I thought you weren't coming anymore," she said while greeting them with a hug.
"It took Liam a little longer to leave work," Andy explained. He nodded in Jiang Yong direction, who responded with a nod and offered a smile.
Ivy nodded at their explanation, "The girls rejected my offer?" she asked, noticing the absence of their partners.
The disappointment tone in her voice made the guys double check their decision. They didn't ask Shirley and Bella to come, after a long discussion, they thought it was best to spend some alone time with her but it seems Ivy really wanted their presence and wasn't only doing it for them.
"Sorry about that," Liam said.
"It's ok." She shrugged. She didn't mind their absent, was only shocked by their audacity to declined her offer to make peace.
"Excuse me." A staff member interrupted them.
"Miss Stone, we are waiting for you," Ivy nodded and followed the staff member to the television studio.
Her group followed behind them, but stop behind the camera while Ivy walked in front and sat opposite to the interviewer. Grace Van was the presenter. At the top of her career, she presented emissions with high box office and which integrity of the information was assured. Getting on her set was already a popularity booster for IVRESSE.
The men watched in tension Ivy interacting with the interviewer waiting for the signal to start. It was a direct interview.
"How was she able to get an interview with Grace Van?" Andy wondered.
Not only the interviewer was popular but the media itself had a big name in the Industry. Landing an interview from them was a proof of your importance. As much as he was in admiration of Ivy work and company, IVRESSE didn't have the influence needed.
"I was the one who got it for us," Jiang Yong said. Standing beside the two friends, he watched full of worry as the interview began.
It was with much effort, and connection he was able get this opportunity. His hope was to attend a large public, for them to know about IVRESSE and their fast approaching fashion show.
"I don't want to put in doubt your capabilities but I don't think it's due to your efforts that they accepted," Liam said, his eyes never leaving Ivy. Phoenix Media, he knew them, they weren't that simple.
"It has more to do with her being Ivy Stone than any other things," he added.
Jiang Yong couldn't refuted his words. It was when he told them whom their CEO was and informed she would be the one doing the interview personally they accepted. He wasn't an idiot not to understand she was the only thing they were interested in, and not the company. It was the principal reason behind his nervousness.
"You are right, but it doesn't remove the effort he putted in. He most have done so much just to be able to get them hear out," Andy praised him.
Jiang Yong mood boosted at the sudden praise. Having your efforts recognized was never small, and coming from Adrian Anderson, he felt a level of proud.
With that last word from Andy, they focused on the interview, which was going normally since it began. Ivy was at ease and answered to all the questions effortlessly, with confidence in her every words.
"Miss Stone, you are only twenty five and an amazing career in front of you. Your company is fast growing, leaving everyone in awe. No doubt was in everyone mind about it potential growth," Grace said.
Ivy smile, knowing it wasn't that of a certainty anymore. All would depend on what would happen in less than a month. It results would mark the fate of her company.
"You professional life is perfect, what about your personal life?"
There we comes, they all thought. They couldn't finished without what they knew was coming. As the thought, only her name interested them.
