Chapter 35 - Day off 1

At night, thinking she could finally rest, after a long day, which surprisingly ended on good note, she got nothing of it. In fact, she got the opposite. Cornered on every side, all wanting to know the meaning of her words. To know whether she was serious. No one failed to call her, no one. She had to turn her phone off to get some peace.

No matter what she said, her parents won't hear her out, thinking of her as been unreasonable. In the end, she told them the same thing as the others. It was her life, they didn't have a say in it. It was with much trouble she was able to get the secure of her room.

Moving forward, the next day, laying in her bed despite the first ray of light coming through her window, Ivy had no intention of getting out. She took a day off, a well needed one after weeks of endless work. The interview had a great impact, at least her talking about her personal life didn't have only a negative side.

"Ivy," Liam softly called sitting on her bed while she was laying flat, and folded herself in a ball.

"She isn't getting up, what are we doing now?" He questioned Andy who was standing by the bed. Directly facing the sleeping Ivy.

With no blanket on her, she had eyes shut close and her fingers clutched on to the bedsheets with force. Those were clear signs she was awake but stubbornly decided not to open her eyes. They knew it. Ivy was a light sleeper, the moment they removed the blanket on her, they knew they successfully woke her up but the latter decided to fake it.

"You are too kind, leave it to me," Andy said and walked closer to the bed.

He squatted down, his face directly in front of Ivy's, " I know you are awake. I know you know we know you are awake. Why don't you stop your act and get up finally,?" he proposed in a gentle voice, which was completely ignored by Ivy.

He smirked, "Ok. Fine. If the soft way don't work, let's do it the hard way. Liam, bring me some water," he asked.

"Water?" Liam questioned, not seeing what he wanted to do.

Andy nodded, " let's pour it on her and see if she won't get up," he said. Successfully gaining a reaction from Ivy. She frowned, hearing his words.

"Want to pour water on her bed? Are you insane?"

"What? I will buy her another one of she insists," he said the obvious.

Ivy resisted the urge to roll her eyes, stubbornly persisting in her act, despite knowing she was fooling no one.

"You got money, I know but isn't it far going to throw water on her?"

"You tried the soft method it didn't work, let me take control now. Pass me the bottle of water," he asked, pointing at the bottle of water on the table by the corner.

Unwillingly, he got up from the bed and took the bottle of water. Gave it to Andy, still watching him in awe. He doubted he would truly put his words in action but there again, it was Andy he was talking about. He did worst to her.

"Still not waking up Ivy?" He spoke, " you know I'm not as soft as Liam, I would definitely pour this on you if you don't open your eyes. I count to three."

"One." he opened the bottle.

"Two." He stood up from his squat position.

"And three." Before he could do anything, Ivy jerked up, sitting on her bed.

"Stop! Stop! I'm awake damn it!" she shouted.

Seeing the opened bottle of water in his hands, she was graceful she took his threat seriously or else she would be drench by now.

"Are you crazy!? You were seriously going to pour that on me?" She asked though knowing the answer.

He would have, if she didn't get up. All the bottle contain would have been on her, with no regrets on his part. He would have been laughing at her misery instead.

"You should have still fake it and you would have seen how serious I was," he closed the bottle back and place it on her nightstand. He looked down at her, amused by the furious face Ivy was carrying. Her messy hair and pouting face made him return in childhood, when he often woke her up as such.

"What are guys even doing in my room and that to so early in the morning!" she complained.

"Your father let us in. We are here to kidnap you and have you spend the day with us," Liam said restoring in his earlier position, sitting on her bed, beside her.

Ivy fell back on her bed, " Not happening. Today is my day off and I'm not going to do nothing but lazy around all day, ruining my brain and health," she informed them, her eyes closed.

"I concluded the interview had his hoped results," Andy said.

If just yesterday she was all stress and in panic and today instead of running to work she decided to take a day off, it meant thing worked well.

"Not really," she replied, staring at her ceiling.

"But things aren't bad and Yong almost forced me to take a break. I didn't want at first with all what is going on but I think I really needed it. The past weeks was overwhelming," she said.

The boys exchanged a look. "That's why we are taking you out. Get up and get ready. We would spend the day together and that's finally," Liam informed, not taking a no for an answer.

Ivy eyed him but didn't argue. There were no need to argue anyway, he would do as he pleased not that she was complaining. Spending the day with them would do her good.

"Fine," she got out of bed.

"But I have to inform you, it isn't gentlemanly to walk in a lady room like you did and my father, how could he accept so easily for men to enter her grown daughter room. Imagine in what you could have work through? I could have been naked under the blanket" she said.

"He know we are of no threat and beside, what is there we haven't see," Andy argued.

Ivy rolled her eyes, "We were kids," she told them while putting on the jackets of her red silk nightgown, tying it around her waist.

"Your point being?" Liam asked.

She grinned, " I wonder what the girls would say if I told them you saw me in my simplest attire, and a nightgown. I doubt they would act so unbothered."

Now, their serene face fell. Even them was able to realize the mess up situation it would generate. Keeping their mouth closed, they knew better than to argue with her. She could take it as a challenge. They weren't in need of troubles.

Their women was the jealous type. Though knowing they did nothing wrong, they were better not having an argument on it.
