Abir, frightened and trembling, lay on his bed when Sejal entered his room. She was surprised to see him sleeping so quietly and thought, "Why is mischievous Abir sleeping so peacefully today?" She pulled the blanket off Abir, noticing his eyes were closed, and a gentle smile appeared on her face as she saw his innocent face. She stroked his head and whispered to herself, "Maybe he's just tired and fell asleep." Sejal switched off the room's lights and walked out.
As soon as Sejal returned to her room, she didn't see Madan anywhere. She muttered to herself, "Why does he always have to be on calls in the middle of the night?" shaking her head as she climbed into bed. It was 12 o'clock.
Abir got out of his room, looking around with frightened eyes as he cautiously moved forward. His gaze soon fell on Madan, who was rushing toward his room. Abir hid behind a pillar immediately. Madan wasn't alone; there was another man with him, wearing a full-length black coat and a mask covering his face. Seeing the masked man, Abir's eyes widened in shock. Madan and the man entered Sejal's room, where Madan saw Sejal sleeping. Madan walked forward, picked up a pillow, and pressed it down over Sejal's face.
As soon as Sejal felt something on her face, her eyes shot open. She struggled to breathe while Abir, hiding, witnessed the entire scene. His face was expressionless, unable to believe what was happening right in front of him. Sejal was gasping for air and thrashing around when she suddenly kicked Madan, causing him to stumble and fall. Seizing the moment, Sejal quickly stood up, taking deep breaths. She made a dash for the door, but before she could escape, the masked man stabbed her from behind. The knife struck her arm, and her agonizing scream echoed throughout the mansion as she staggered.
Madan got up from where he had fallen and snatched the knife from the masked man's hand, shouting, "Stop! Why did you do that? You know we need her alive to transfer the property to my name."
The masked man stopped at Madan's words and signaled something to him. Understanding the signal, Madan stepped forward and tightly grabbed Sejal's hair from behind, causing her to scream. In a voice filled with pain, Sejal asked, "What are you doing, Madan? Why are you doing this?"
Madan coldly replied, "I have no interest in you! I never loved you. I've only been with you for your property! I don't care about you at all."
Abir stood silently, watching everything unfold. His face remained emotionless, still trying to process the betrayal. Sejal replied, "I know. I've always known you never loved me. But I stayed in this marriage for the sake of our son, so that he could feel the love of both a mother and a father. I wanted him to have a complete family. But I never trusted you. That's why I transferred all the property to Abir's name. Now, no one can claim it until he turns 21."
Hearing this, both Madan and the masked man's eyes filled with rage. Madan angrily slapped Sejal, knocking her to the floor. He then crouched down beside her, grabbed her jaw tightly, and gritted his teeth, saying, "You're too clever! But no matter. Even if I don't get the property, you don't deserve to live. What will you do, live on in pain?"
As he stood up, Madan signaled to the masked man again. This time, the man swiftly plunged a dagger into Sejal's stomach. Her painful scream echoed throughout the mansion once more. Abir, hiding and watching his own mother being murdered before his eyes, was completely numb. His father was killing his mother right in front of him with the help of a stranger.
Then, Abir's eyes fell on something, and they widened in shock.
Sejal, now barely conscious, weakly said, "Abir... Abir won't spare the two of you. He will avenge his mother."
As she tried to speak further, Madan struck her with an iron rod, silencing her breaths.
Madan sneered, "She'll die, writhing in pain. Let me escort you out," he said to the masked man as they both left the room.
Once they were gone, Abir slowly, with small steps, approached his mother. Sejal, with her half-open eyes, gazed at him, tears streaming down her face. Abir sat down next to her and stared intently at his mother.
Summoning the last of her strength, Sejal whispered, "Abir, my child... don't spare Madan and that man. Avenge me. Madan betrayed me. He only married me for my money, and he's been having an affair with his personal assistant, Maya. He betrayed me for her..."
Abir remained silent, listening to everything Sejal was saying.
Sejal continued, "Abir, I won't be with you anymore, so you must become a powerful man. Make yourself so strong that no one can stand against you. This world is cruel. Good people don't get to live in peace here."
As she was speaking, Sejal's breath suddenly stopped, and her eyes closed. She had taken her last breath.
When Abir realized his mother was no more, a single tear fell from his eye, and with that, he whispered, "Mother..."
