Chapter 5 - "Shattered Trust

(2 Days Later)

Abeer had brought Aaina home from the hospital and was taking care of her at home.

At the moment, Aaina was sleeping in Abeer's room while Abeer was working on his laptop in the study room. Just then, Adil came in, sat beside Abeer, and said, "Abeer, Aaina is better now. You should ask her who did all this to her. And, you still haven't told me how you and Aaina ended up apart. She was with you, wasn't she? How did she get separated from you?"

Abeer replied, "Two years ago, Aaina and I went to a party. There, a misunderstanding occurred between us, and we grew apart. But I never thought she would go so far away."

Adil asked, "Did you try to explain things to her?"

Abeer said, "I tried, but she didn't listen. I had already hurt her so much, so I didn't want to hurt her more. I thought maybe this was for the best. But now I realize I made a mistake."

Adil said, "You should talk to Aaina now and clear up whatever misunderstandings you two have."

Abeer said, "Yes, I will talk to Aaina soon and get to the truth. After that, whatever happens will be as Abeer Rajvansh desires." As he said this, his face showed no emotion.

Adil added, "And don't forget to ask about the attack on Aaina."

Abeer responded, "Of course, I will ask Aaina everything and find out the truth."

After that, Adil left, and Abeer went back to his work on the laptop, but his mind was still occupied with thoughts about Aaina and the misunderstanding between them.

Abeer, thinking to himself, said, "If only that hadn't happened two years ago, Aaina would have never been separated from me." He closed his eyes for a moment, then stood up and went straight to his room. Upon entering, he saw Aaina still fast asleep. Abeer walked over to her and sat on the bed next to her, gazing at her lovingly.

As he looked at her, faded memories from the past started swirling in his mind.

(Flashback)

Mumbai

A beautiful villa with a large garden in front, a fountain in the middle, and a luxurious swimming pool. Guards were standing around the villa. Inside one of the rooms, a girl lay on the bed in a terrible state. She wasn't wearing any clothes, and a man was on top of her, holding her wrists tightly. The girl was screaming loudly, begging the man to let her go, but he wasn't listening. She kept trying to free herself, but to no avail.

After about an hour and a half, the man finally let her go, covered her with a blanket, and went to the washroom. The girl remained on the bed in a half-dead state, her body covered with bite marks, her lips bleeding slightly, and her face soaked with tears, which had turned red from all the crying. She didn't even have the strength to cry anymore. She just lay there, sobbing silently. She couldn't move at all.

A while later, the man came out of the washroom, wearing nothing but a towel. He walked out onto the balcony and made a call. On the call, he said, "I'll be in the office tomorrow." The voice on the other end said, "Mr. Kapoor doesn't want to do this deal with us anymore. He wants to cancel it."

Hearing this, the man replied coldly, "Abeer Rajvansh doesn't like it when someone makes a deal with him and then backs out. This isn't a game. Call Kapoor to the office tomorrow and fix a meeting with me." With that, Abeer hung up the call.

Abeer then walked back into the room and sat beside the girl on the bed. Stroking her hair, he said, "Aaina, baby, if you had agreed with me earlier, I wouldn't have had to do all this, and you wouldn't have had to suffer."

Aaina, with her eyes closed, listened to Abeer's words but said nothing. She remained silent.

Aaina Mehra. Age 21. Fair-skinned like milk, with an attractive personality, thin lips, and a long, graceful neck. Aaina was a perfect girl with no flaws. She was also an artist.

Abeer removed the blanket from Aaina and lifted her in his arms, carrying her to the washroom. He sat her in the bathtub and started filling it with warm water, which gave Aaina some relief. Abeer then gently began cleaning her body. After a while, he stood her up, lifted her out of the bathtub, and dressed her in a bathrobe. He carried her back to the room and laid her down on the bed. Aaina looked at him with hatred in her eyes, thinking, "What kind of beast is this man?"

Abeer dressed her in a knee-length dress and put on a T-shirt and lower for himself. Then, he took Aaina out of the room and seated her on the bed. "I'll be right back," he said and left the room.

After a while, Abeer returned with food and placed it on the table. He said to Aaina, "Come on, eat something."

Aaina, furious, yelled, "I don't want to eat anything! Stop this act, this pretense! I know exactly what kind of man you are. You've ruined my life. You've forced yourself on me! I don't want to stay here. Let me go!"

In a cold tone, Abeer interrupted her, saying, "If another word comes out of your mouth, I'll do something you can't even imagine. And as for leaving here, forget it. You can't go anywhere without my permission. You're not going anywhere, understand?" With that, he grabbed Aaina's hand and forced her to sit on the sofa, making her eat.

He nearly fed her the entire meal before taking the plates and leaving the room. Aaina sat on the sofa, lost in thought. "Everything was so perfect in my life just a year ago. For the past year, I've been nothing but a prisoner. Abeer has destroyed my life. He's taken everything from me," she thought as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Just then, Abeer returned and saw the tears in Aaina's eyes.
