12: First battle
Leonis felt dizzy, unable to move. His body seemed heavy, weighed down by an invisible force.
His mind foggy, he struggled to recall what had happened.
As he lay there, fragments of memories began to resurface - the rush of mana, the explosion of energy, and the shattered window.
But the details remained hazy.
Leonis tried to lift his head, but a wave of nausea washed over him, forcing him back onto the pillow.
His eyelids fluttered closed, and he took a deep breath, willing himself to regain control.
But his body refused to cooperate. His limbs felt like lead, and his thoughts swirled in circles.
Where was he? What had happened?
Why couldn't he move?
The questions swirled in his mind, but answers eluded him.
Leonis drifted, lost in a sea of confusion, his senses dulled and unresponsive.

Leonis thought for a moment before allocating the attribute points.
"I need to boost my physical capabilities," he thought.
"Strength and Agility will help me in close combat."
He mentally allocated 2 points to Strength and 2 points to Agility.
"Next, endurance is crucial for prolonged battles," Leonis considered. "An extra point will help me withstand more damage."
With his final point, he chose Endurance.
The Omni system updated his attributes accordingly.

Leonis' eyes widened as the Omni system's notification flashed in his mind.
"Omni System Dimension Unlocked!"
"Yes! Finally!" Leonis exclaimed mentally.
"I've been stuck at Level 0 forever! This is my chance to level up!"
The Omni system chimed in,
"Congratulations, Leonis! You've reached a new milestone."
Leonis thought, "About time! I've been searching for a way to level up, but every quest requires Level 5 or higher.
Now, this? Jackpot!"
"What is the Omni System Dimension?" Leonis asked.
"The Omni System Dimension is a vast, parallel realm created for combat training and growth," the Omni system explained.
"This dimension is inhabited by diverse monsters and beasts, each with unique attributes and challenges."
Leonis' excitement grew. "Benefits?"
"Gain EXP to level up and enhance your attributes," the Omni system listed.
"Collect drop items, including rare equipment and resources. Discover skill books containing powerful abilities."
"A 'Common' weapon upon entry," Leonis recalled, a sly grin spreading across his face. "Ha! I'll take it. I'll make do with whatever I get."
Leonis reviewed the dimension's rules:
"Survival of the fittest, EXP and loot up for grabs, skill books grant an edge, and death has consequences."
He chuckled. "No mercy, no quarter? Bring it on! I've got nothing to lose."
"Dimension ranks?" Leonis inquired.
"Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary beasts," the Omni system replied.
"Each rank presents unique challenges."
"Sounds good to me!" Leonis thought.
"Additional tips?"
"Watch your back for unexpected spawns," the Omni system cautioned. "Explore carefully to avoid hidden dangers."
Leonis snorted. "I'll figure it out. I'm not going to let Level 0 hold me back."
"Ready to enter?" the Omni system asked.
"Born ready," Leonis replied.
The Omni system acknowledged his response.
"Entry confirmed. Welcome to the Omni System Dimension, Leonis."
A shimmering portal materialized before Leonis, beckoning him to enter.
"Time to level up," Leonis thought, steeling himself. "I won't let this opportunity slip past my fingers."
Leonis took a deep breath, feeling his new avatar's body. He stretched his arms and legs, getting accustomed to the familiar yet foreign sensations.
"Time to get reacquainted," he thought.
He examined his hands, remembering the countless battles he had fought in his previous life. The scars were gone, but the memories remained.
Leonis focused on his attributes:

"Basic stats," Leonis thought. "Need to improve these. Wonder what the cap is."
He checked his skills:

"Useful skills," Leonis noted. "Intimidation will help in combat, and Perception will aid in detecting hidden dangers. Need to level these up too."
Leonis equipped his starting gear:
Long Sword
"Simple, yet effective," Leonis thought.
"Time to test its mettle."
He mentally reviewed the Omni System
Dimension's rules:

Leonis steeled himself.
"Time to put my skills to the test," he thought.
"No holding back."
The shimmering portal beckoned him.
As he approached the portal, Leonis felt a rush of adrenaline.
"What awaits me on the other side?" he wondered.
Leonis stepped through the shimmering portal, and everything around him blurred.
"Welcome to the Omni System Dimension," the Omni system announced.
Leonis' vision cleared, revealing a vast, unfamiliar landscape.
Rolling hills stretched out before him, dotted with clusters of trees.
The air was crisp and clean, filled with the scent of damp earth.
"Where am I?" Leonis wondered.
The Omni system provided no answer.
Leonis drew his long sword, feeling its weight.
"Time to explore," he thought.
As he walked, Leonis noticed:

Leonis continued onward, his senses heightened.
Suddenly, his Perception skill alerted him:
"Unknown entity detected nearby."
Leonis' grip on his sword tightened.
"Show yourself," he growled, Intimidation skill at the ready.
The darkness seemed to shift, and a figure emerged.
Leonis focused his Perception skill, gathering more information about the unknown entity.

"A Level 2 Elite Nightshade Wolf?" he thought. "This won't be easy."
The wolf's eyes locked onto Leonis, its gaze piercing.
Leonis readied his long sword, preparing for battle.
"Time to test my skills," he thought.
The Nightshade Wolf charged, its speed astonishing.
Leonis stood his ground, Intimidation skill at the ready.
Leonis stood frozen, his Level 0 status making him appear like an easy target.
The Nightshade Wolf's eyes locked onto him, its gaze piercing. It sniffed the air, sensing vulnerability.
Leonis gripped his sword tightly.
"Hey, don't underestimate me!" he shouted.
The wolf's ears perked up, and it took a step closer. Its tail twitched, signaling excitement.
Leonis charged forward.
"Take this!"
He swung his sword wildly.
The wolf dodged with ease, its agility impressive.
Leonis stumbled.
"Whoa, okay. Maybe I need a plan."
The wolf sensed Leonis' uncertainty and pounced.
Leonis charged forward, sword raised.
"Take this, furball!"
But the Nightshade Wolf vanished in a blue blur.
"Wait, where—"
Leonis' Perception skill kicked in.
"Dodge, NOW!" his instincts screamed.
He leaped to the side, avoiding the wolf's jaws by a hair's breadth.
But the wolf's claw swiped across his arm, leaving a gash.
Leonis rolled across the earth, sword flying from his grasp.
"Ow... ow... OW!"
He scrambled to his feet, retrieving his sword.
Leonis' HP: 80/100
The wolf reappeared, snarling.
"You think that'll save you, little morsel?" its eyes seemed to say.
Leonis grinned, adrenaline masking the pain.
"This might be my first battle in the world of Elyon, but I'm READY!"
He assumed a fighting stance.
"Bring it on, Nightshade! Let's see who's dinner!"
The wolf snarled, baring teeth.
