Chapter 14 - 14: Aria and Harrison's Worries

13: Aria And Harrison Worries

It has been four days since Leonis has Formed his mana and he had fallen asleep due to mana exhaustion, or at least by Harrison theories .

Aria paced anxiously in Harrison's study, her footsteps echoing off the bookshelves.

"Five days, Harrison. Leo's been unconscious for five days. What if he doesn't wake up?"

Harrison leaned back in his chair, his eyes etched with concern.

"We've done everything we can, Aria. The healers say his vital signs are stable, but..."

Aria completed his sentence, her voice trembling.

"But they don't know what's causing this deep sleep."

Harrison nodded thoughtfully.

"Forming a mana core at three years old... I've never heard of such a thing."

Aria halted her pacing, her eyes locking onto Harrison's. "Is it even possible?"

Harrison's expression turned perplexed. "I don't know. I've studied the ancient arts, but this is uncharted territory."

The room fell silent, with only the sound of Aria's pacing breaking the stillness.

"Even more now that its happened we need to protect him from them".

Harrison's brow furrowed, his voice barely above a whisper.

"We must be cautious, Aria. If they discover a three-year-old has formed a mana core..."

Aria nodded, understanding the unspoken threat. "They'll stop at nothing to eliminate him."

Harrison's nod was almost imperceptible.

"They view extraordinary abilities as threats to their balance. They'll see Leonis as a danger to their plans."

Aria's pacing quickened, her anxiety spiking. "We can't let that happen. We have to protect him."

Harrison's expression turned resolute.

"Agreed. We'll keep this hidden, for now."

Aria halted, her eyes locked onto Harrison's. "What's our next move?"

Harrison's gaze drifted, his mind racing. "I'll review ancient texts, see if I can find

any clues on managing Leonis's abilities. We need to understand what we're dealing with."

Aria's voice dropped to a whisper. "What if they find out?"

Harrison's eyes met Aria's, grave concern etched on his face. "We'll face that together, when the time comes."

Just then someone knocked.

"Come in" Aria said in a low tone.

Both Elsie and Luna came in with worried looks on their faces.

Luna's eyes welled up with tears. "Will Leo be okay? He's been asleep for so long."

Elsie's face was pale, her voice trembling.

"Is... is his mana core formation stabilizing?"

Aria's expression reflected her own concern.

"We're monitoring him closely. Harrison's doing everything he can."

Harrison nodded gravely. "I've never seen a child form a mana core so early. We're in uncharted territory."

Luna's voice cracked. "But will he be normal? Will he still be Leo?"

Elsie wrapped her arms around Luna, holding her close. "We'll get through this together."

Aria stepped forward, embracing both sisters. "We'll do everything to ensure Leonis's safety and well-being."

The room fell silent, filled with worry and uncertainty.

Harrison's eyes glazed over, lost in thought. His mind wandered back to that fateful training session six days ago...

"He responded so well to my mana... I thought it was just a sign of his potential. But what if it was more? What if my mana signature... awakened something within him?"

His thoughts swirled, trying to connect the dots.

"Mana resonance... symbiotic bonding... could it have triggered an early mana core formation?"

Harrison's brow furrowed, deep in contemplation.

"If that's the case... then Leonis's abilities could be far beyond anything we've seen."

His mind raced with implications, possibilities, and uncertainties.

Harrison's eyes glazed over, lost in thought. His mind wandered back to that fateful training session.

"He responded so well to my mana... I thought it was just a sign of his talent. But what if sending my mana signature into his organs awakened his mana core?"

His thoughts swirled, exploring the possibility.

"Could my mana have triggered this?"

Silence filled the room, the only sound the soft sobbing of Luna and Elsie.

Aria gently guided Luna and Elsie to a nearby couch, offering a comforting embrace.

"Let's sit down, girls. We'll get through this together."

Luna's tears stained Aria's shoulder. "What if Leo never wakes up?"

Elsie's voice trembled. "Or what if... he's not the same?"

Aria's hold tightened. "We won't think about that right now. Harrison will find a way to help him."

Luna pulled back, her eyes red-rimmed.

"Do you really think so? Will dad find a way "

Aria's expression softened. "I do. Harrison would never give up on Leonis."

Elsie's gaze drifted to Harrison, still lost in thought. "He looks so worried."

Aria's voice dropped to a whisper. "He's just trying to understand what's happening."

The sisters sat in silence, holding each other, as Harrison continued to ponder the mystery of Leonis's mana core.

Luna's sniffles subsided, replaced by determination. "We need to be strong for Leo."

Elsie nodded, wiping away tears. "You're right. He'll need us when he wakes up."

Aria smiled, pride in her eyes. "That's the spirit. We'll face this together."

The sisters shared a gentle hug, their bond strengthened by adversity.

Luna's gaze fell on Harrison, still deep in thought.

"Do you think Dad'll figure out what's going on?"

Aria's expression turned thoughtful.

"Your dad's one of the best. If anyone can help Leonis, he can."

Elsie's voice filled with conviction. "We'll support him, no matter what."

As they spoke, Harrison's eyes snapped back into focus, a newfound resolve etched on his face.

Harrison's eyes remained glazed over, lost in thought. His mind whirled with the staggering implications, as if the very fabric of magical understanding had been rewoven.

"Two days... it's unthinkable. Leonis formed his mana core in just two days after exposure to my mana signature," he murmured to himself, his voice barely audible.

Intrigue etched his face, his thoughts consumed by the phenomenon. He struggled to comprehend the magnitude of Leonis's potential.

"A child who awakens his mana core without formal training, without deliberate stimulation... it defies every established principle of magical development,"

Harrison thought, his mind racing with questions.

"What does this say about his magical affinity? Is it even measurable? Does he possess a unique resonance, one that allows him to harmonize with mana at an exponential rate?"

Harrison's thoughts delved deeper, exploring the uncharted territory of Leonis's abilities.

"Could his mana core be... different ? Adapted to process mana more efficiently? Or perhaps it's not just the core itself, but the way his entire being responds to magical energy?"

The silence was profound, the only sound the soft breathing of Aria, Luna, and Elsie, watching him with bated breath as Harrison's intellect wrestled with the enigma.

Time seemed to stand still, suspended by the weight of Harrison's contemplation.

Aria's soft voice pierced the silence, hesitant not to disrupt Harrison's train of thought.

"Harrison?"

He blinked, slowly refocusing on the present.

"Aria?"

"Have you... figured something out?" Aria asked, her eyes locked on Harrison's, searching for any glimmer of hope.

Harrison's expression transformed, shifting from intrigue to cautious optimism.

"I think I understand the scope of Leonis's potential," he said, his voice measured.

"But I need to verify my theories."

Luna and Elsie leaned forward, anticipation etched on their faces.

"What do you mean?" Luna asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Harrison's eyes sparkled with intellectual curiosity.

"Leonis's mana core formation suggests an extraordinary affinity for magic. Perhaps even a revolutionary one."

Elsie's brow furrowed. "Revolutionary?"

Harrison nodded. "Yes. If my hypotheses hold true, Leonis's abilities could redefine our understanding of magical development and application."

The room fell silent once more, heavy with the weight of Harrison's words.:

Harrison's eyes shone with intellectual fervor as he elaborated.

"Consider this,Leonis formed his mana core without deliberate training or exposure to magical energies. This suggests an innate capacity for mana absorption and processing, unprecedented in recorded magical history."

Aria leaned forward, captivated.

"You're saying his body naturally resonates with mana?"

Harrison nodded. "Exactly. And if my theories hold true, Leonis's mana core may not only be exceptionally potent but also uniquely adaptable."

Elsie's curiosity got the better of her. "What do you mean by adaptable?"

Harrison's hands gestured animatedly.

"Imagine a mana core capable of reconfiguring its internal structure to optimize magical energy flow. This could grant Leonis unparalleled flexibility in spellcasting, potentially allowing him to wield multiple magical disciplines wi

th ease."

Elsie's eyes widened.

"That sounds... impossible."

Harrison smiled.

"Exactly. Yet, Leonis's existence challenges our understanding of what's possible. His mana core may be the key to unlocking new magical frontiers."

As Harrison spoke, his enthusiasm grew, fueled by the boundless potential of Leonis's abilities.

Harrison's passion for discovery drove him forward.

"Consider the implications, Leonis's adaptable mana core could revolutionize magical education. We could rethink our entire approach to training, focusing on nurturing innate talents rather than forcing rigid magical frameworks."

Aria listened intently, her expression a mix of fascination and concern.

"Aria?" Harrison noticed her unease.

"What's troubling you?"

Aria's voice was laced with worry.

"Harrison, this is all amazing, but have you considered the risks? Leonis's unique abilities make him... vulnerable. What if others discover his potential?"

Harrison's expression turned serious.

"I've thought about that, Aria. We'll need to protect him, ensure his safety and well-being. But we can't let fear stifle his growth. We must find a balance."

Luna and Elsie exchanged nervous glances, their faces reflecting Aria's concerns.

"Who would want to harm Leo?" Luna asked, her voice trembling.

Aria's gaze locked onto Harrison's.

"There are those who would seek to exploit his abilities. We must be cautious."

Harrison's jaw set in determination.

"I'll ensure Leonis's safety, Aria. I promise."

The room fell silent, heavy with the weight of responsibility and the uncertain future.

Luna's eyes widened, fear creeping into her voice.

"Exploited? What do you mean?"

Elsie's face paled. "Do you think someone would hurt Leo?"

Aria's expression softened, attempting to reassure them.

"We're just being cautious. Harrison will make sure Leo's safe."

Luna's gaze shifted to Harrison, seeking confirmation.

"You won't let anyone hurt Leo, will you?" she asked, her voice trembling.

Harrison's expression turned resolute.

"I promise, Luna, Leonis's safety is paramount. I'll do everything in my power to protect him."

Harrison's face gentled, his voice filled with compassion.

"You won't lose him, Elsie. I swear it."

The sisters' fears slowly receded, replaced by determination.

"We'll protect Leo together," Luna said, resolve in her voice.

Elsie nodded firmly.
