Confused, Zarael watched Vienna leave her chambers. She couldn't understand why such a ridiculous proposition had been made.
'If there's one thing I want to do with Vonn, it's to kill him. He's just lucky I can't get that opportunity sooner,' she thought, hissing in frustration. The audacity to ask her to pledge loyalty to Vonn only fueled her annoyance.
'What kind of confidence does he even have to relay that to the masked woman? Does he think that just because he was once ranked top one and performed the Graveyard Dance earlier, I'd grovel and become his subordinate?'
There was no way she'd accept such an offer!
Unable to shake off her irritation, she summoned another suitor to distract herself. Yet, even after listening to all their offers, she couldn't rid her mind of Vienna's words.
'He's stupid,' she concluded with a scornful scoff, leaving her chambers with her entourage trailing behind her.
