'Can't they at least feel embarrassed? They're letting a kid save their lives?' Vonn shook his head in disappointment, his gaze lingering on the faces of adults and young adults who seemed unbothered, happily relying on Linn as their protector.
"I wasn't planning to. I just want them to surrender," Vonn replied, his voice calm yet firm.
"Do you think we will surrender?!" an older man barked, his voice filled with defiance. His face was lined with age—or maybe just hardship. "As much as Linn doesn't want to surrender, we won't surrender!"
