Vonn knew he didn't have to worry about Linn's power—well, he still did, but his focus had shifted. He had a target now. If he could just get the Dull Sword away from him, then he would stand a chance.
But the problem was how. No matter how hard he racked his brain, he couldn't think of a single way to disarm him.
He swallowed hard, eyes narrowing with determination, and raised his hands into the air. "Hey… how about we talk this over? You don't know what'll happen to you if you keep pledging your loyalty to the cult."
Vonn's voice faltered slightly, a flicker of hope crossing his mind. Linn was supposed to be smart, so how could he fall for such a sketchy group? But the indifference in his eyes crushed any remaining hope of convincing him.
