After recovering, Krillin was still wary of the vampire, and now everyone faced the dilemma of who to send into battle next.
Although Yamcha was confident in his abilities, he had no good strategy against the flying vampire.
While everyone pondered their approach to fighting the vampire warrior, John stepped onto the arena and said, "This is too troublesome; let me take care of them all."
Goku immediately understood John's intention and pleaded, "John, I want to fight too!"
John replied, "Sorry, it's better to strike first. I also need to test my strength. Don't worry; after the battle, I'll spar with you for a while."
Hearing John's promise, Goku happily exclaimed, "Really?"
"Of course."
"Alright then! I'll leave this battle to you," Goku generously conceded.
Their casual conversation finally irritated Fortuneteller Baba, who interrupted them sharply: "Are you done? If you don't want to fight, then get out of my mansion!"
John responded, "Of course we want to fight; we can start now."
The vampire warrior looked at John, who was tall and handsome, feeling a surge of jealousy. In his past, he had always been rejected by girls due to his unattractive appearance.
Once, when he confessed his feelings to a girl, she told him he looked too ugly—like a vampire—and should not scare people away. Angered by this rejection, he accepted a blood contract and became a real vampire. His first act as a vampire was to turn that girl and her family into vampires so they could become the people he had always despised.
Seeing John before him reminded the vampire warrior of his past grievances. He shouted angrily, "Damn pretty boy! I'm going to scratch your face and drain your blood!" With that, he lunged at John.
However, John seemed unfazed and stood still without moving, causing Bulma and the others to scream in fright.
Only Goku and Master Roshi remained calm; they could tell that John was significantly stronger than before.
Just as the vampire warrior was about to pounce on him, John finally moved—delivering a simple punch straight to the vampire's face.
The vampire's face was instantly deformed by John's immense strength as he flew backward at incredible speed.
With a loud crash, he smashed through a wall behind him, leaving everyone stunned by John's power.
Goku felt a surge of battle spirit upon witnessing John's performance; he could hardly wait to fight him.
John casually turned to the shocked Fortuneteller Baba and said, "Grandma, we can start the next match."
Although surprised by John's strength, Baba chuckled and replied, "Young man, I admit your power is impressive. However, your next opponent won't be so easy to deal with."
"Oh? Then I look forward to seeing how strong my next opponent is," John said confidently.
After waiting for a moment without any fighters appearing on stage, Yamcha and Krillin shouted: "Why hasn't the next opponent come out yet?"
But before Fortuneteller Baba could respond, John calmly stated, "He's already on stage." He directed his gaze toward an empty spot in the arena.
The invisible fighter standing there jumped in surprise but still couldn't believe that John could see him.
Yamcha asked curiously, "He's already on stage? Why can't we see him? Is he really invisible?"
John nodded and replied, "Yes. The second fighter Fortuneteller Baba sent out is indeed an invisible man."
"Am I wrong about that, Fortuneteller Baba?!" John asked her directly.
Everyone turned their attention to Fortuneteller Baba. She looked serious as she asked John how he knew this.
Without answering her question directly, John turned to Goku, Krillin, and Yamcha: "Do you know how to deal with an invisible person? Or more broadly speaking, how do we deal with someone who attacks us from stealth?"
The three of them shook their heads in confusion; although Goku's power was high now, his energy control was still rough around the edges.
John explained: "Alright then! I will demonstrate for you; pay close attention. To deal with these types of opponents, we need to master our energy control."
"Energy!" Goku and the others looked puzzled while Master Roshi marveled at how much stronger John's abilities had become.
John continued: "Every living being has energy. The stronger you are, the more powerful your energy will be; if you're weak, your energy will be weak."
"So in my perception, that invisible person's energy is like a light in darkness; I can see it clearly."
After saying this, John addressed the invisible fighter: "Are you going to attack first or shall I?"
The invisible fighter still couldn't believe he had been discovered and kept shifting positions. No matter how he moved though, John always faced him directly.
"Stop wasting your effort! Since you don't want to attack first, I'll take the initiative," John declared as he swiftly advanced forward. Before anyone could react fully, he threw an invisible punch that landed with a splash as something fell into the water nearby.
Everyone gasped in astonishment as Krillin remarked: "I can't believe there's really someone who is invisible!"
Fortuneteller Baba glanced at John and said: "Young man, your strength is indeed impressive. However, there are always stronger opponents out there; the next three fighters won't be so easy to handle."
With a smile on his face, John replied: "If I told you I didn't even use one-tenth of my strength just now—would you believe me?"
Fortuneteller Baba's expression darkened as she responded: "Just sharp-tongued nonsense! Let's see if you can still smile after this."
Following that statement, Fortuneteller Baba raised her crystal ball higher and announced to everyone: "Now we will change battlefields; follow me."
After saying this, she led the way forward while everyone followed behind. Krillin curiously asked: "Where are we going now?"
Master Roshi answered solemnly from beside him: "To the Devil's Toilet!"
"The Devil's Toilet?!" Upon hearing this name, everyone was shocked and found it hard to imagine what kind of place would be called that.
