Chapter 9 - To kill or not to kill

Jumping across rooftops were actually easy…if you infuse determination to enhance your body, like if i say i am determined to get to my destination I may actually get there faster, but it feels unneeded.

In the distance i see a swarm of one of the most hated insects in the worlds, The tiny bloodsuckers that are more infamous than vampires, mosquitos.

"How do i kill a swarm of mosquitoes, wait that's right, i don't have to" I should be arriving near mosquito girl in a few more minutes.

After a while i finally see a flying fusion of mosquito and human, you see i don't realize why there are some weird people in the world that would want to have inter course with such a thing, It's a monster retaining its own humanity.

"Hello bloodsucker, let's warm up" I didn't feel the need to summon the true knife at the moment, i just summoned a knife made from DT instead.

"Oh we found dinner, suck him dry" Mosquito girl said as she sent an uncountable number if mosquitoes towards me.

"Ahem, i might be in bit of trouble sooo"

[SAVE]

I placed a checkpoint so i don't actually die. "Hello My name is chara dreemur, sorry but the law says you have to die"

——

Mosquito girl wondered why a child is challenging her, well not that she cares it just means more blood for her, so she sent out a swarm of mosquitoes towards him andd surrounded him. "That was easy"

But before she could retrieve her children, an arc of red energy passed by her cutting one of her arms.

The mosquitoes surrounding the boy glowed red for a brief moment before they disintegrated revealing a demon with demonic red eyes and a grin that revealed nothing but darkness.

Mosquito Girl recoiled, clutching the stump where her arm used to be. Her confident smirk twisted into a grimace of pain and confusion. "What… what are you?" she hissed, her wings buzzing erratically as she hovered in place, trying to regain control.

The boy no, the demon stood amidst the swirling ashes of the fallen swarm, the crimson glow of determination pulsing from his form like a heartbeat. His eyes burned with an unsettling light, a deep red that seemed to pierce through reality itself. The DT knife in his hand crackled with raw energy, its edge shimmering with an unnatural brilliance.

He tilted his head slightly, the grin on his face widening as if he found the entire situation amusing. "I am the Devil, and i am here to take your soul, both literally and Metaphorically"

In City Z.

A boy with eyes that were a combination of blue and orange was standing looking at a monster, near his hand floated a button that was named JUDGE.

This was chara's judgment avatar which he tild to rid of monsters in the area, he was experimenting his fused soul of patience and justice.

The avatar's expression was unreadable, a perfect balance between serenity and cold calculation. He tilted his head slightly, as if analyzing every movement, every intention of the monster before him. Unlike Chara's chaotic energy, this version was methodical, precise—a manifestation of balance.

The monster, sensing no immediate threat from the seemingly harmless boy, growled in annoyance. "Run, human, before I turn you into paste!" it snarled, its massive claws scraping the ground, ready to charge.

But the boy didn't move.

Instead, he raised a hand, his voice calm and devoid of emotion. "Judgment is required."

The JUDGE button pulsed with light, responding to the command. A translucent scale materialized in the air above the boy, one side glowing cyan, the other a radiant yellow. The monster paused, momentarily confused by the sudden shift in atmosphere.

The boy's eyes locked onto the creature, cold and calculating. "Patience allows for observation. Justice ensures retribution. You have failed both."

With that, he pressed the JUDGE button.

A pulse of energy rippled outward, and the scale tipped sharply toward the yellow side—justice. Chains of glowing light shot from the ground, wrapping around the monster's limbs, binding it in place. The beast roared in fury, thrashing against its restraints, but the chains held firm, each link reinforced by the combined essence of patience and justice.

"You have been weighed," the avatar intoned, his voice echoing with an otherworldly authority. "And found wanting."

The monster's eyes widened in fear as the chains tightened, glowing brighter with each passing second. The judgment was swift and absolute. With a final, deafening roar, the beast was consumed in a burst of light, its form disintegrating into nothingness.

Silence returned to the streets.

The avatar lowered his hand, the JUDGE button fading from view. His task here was done, but there was no sense of satisfaction, no hint of emotion.

Back to Mosquito girl and chara.

Chara merely twirled his DT knife, he forgot what threat mosquito girl was hut she was awfully weak, or maybe he is strong.

The battle with satella gave him a a few insights in soul manipulation, but just the basics truly the only reason his attacks are working on her is because her spirituality is weak, but if it were someone like a psychic it would prove to be a bit hard fir him to injure them using Soul Manupilation.

Mosquito girl gritted her teeth and without words dashed straight towards chara aiming her leg? towards his face.

Ofcourse chara noticed and immediately grabbed her by the leg.

Chara's crimson eyes flickered with curiosity as he held Mosquito Girl's leg in a vice-like grip. Her expression twisted from rage to confusion, realizing she had severely underestimated him. She struggled to break free, but his grasp was unyielding, almost as if an unseen force bound her in place.

"You really should get some clothes," Chara said with a hint of disdain, his tone cold and detached. "Walking around like this… it's almost as if you want to be put down."

Mosquito Girl hissed in frustration, her wings buzzing furiously as she tried to lift herself away. But before she could retreat, Chara's gaze hardened, and his grip tightened further. This wasn't just physical strength. No, he was channeling something deeper his very soul.

"Let's try something new," Chara murmured to himself, ignoring her futile attempts to escape. He shifted his focus inward, reaching out to the essence of his own soul rather than the Determination that usually fueled him. He could feel its weight, its malleability. It pulsed with life, dark and potent, ready to be wielded.

A faint glow began to emanate from his chest, a swirling mass of energy that flickered between crimson and black. Slowly, tendrils of his soul extended outward, snaking toward Mosquito Girl, their touch cold and invasive.

She sensed the danger immediately. Her eyes widened in panic. "W-What are you doing?!"

Chara's grin returned, wider now, more sinister. "I'm seeing if I can enslave a soul like yours. Weak, fragmented… easy prey." His voice was almost clinical, as if this were a mere experiment rather than a life-or-death situation.

The tendrils of Chara's soul coiled around Mosquito Girl, seeping into her very being. She gasped, her body convulsing as the foreign energy invaded her core. Her wings faltered, their frantic buzzing slowing to a feeble hum. For the first time, fear overtook her predatory instincts.

"No… no, get out of my head!" she shrieked, clawing at the air as if she could physically tear the intrusion away.

But Chara wasn't stopping. He delved deeper, feeling the threads of her fragmented soul—memories of blood, instinctual hunger, and a faint, lingering humanity buried beneath the monstrous exterior. He could twist it, reshape it, control it.

"This is surprisingly easy," Chara mused, his eyes glowing brighter. "I expected more resistance. Maybe you really are as weak as you look."

Mosquito Girl's struggles weakened further, her body trembling as Chara's tendrils tightened their grip around her soul. Her crimson eyes dimmed, the predatory fire within them flickering like a dying flame. Her mind was slipping, her will bending under the weight of Chara's control.

He leaned closer, his voice a whisper that cut through the silence like a blade. "Submit."

For a moment, there was silence. Then, slowly, Mosquito Girl's movements ceased. Her wings drooped, her body sagging in defeat. Her eyes, once filled with rage and fear, now stared blankly ahead empty, obedient.

Wait did i get influenced by Ainz or Satella cause i am not evil…right…well maybe.

Anyways what do i do with her, should i make her pick some sewer trash…nah. "Uhm i guess you can have your consciousness back, but do realize if you are going to terrorize somewhere, don't do it near where i live, go drink the blood of animals or something, i'll call when i need you"

I then dashed away not about to hear some annoying girl crying, I hate Mosquitoes in all forms.

I pulled out the chat to see what's going on at the moment.
