"How dare you insult her!" one of the males exclaimed, bearing his teeth at Lily to scare her.
Before Lily could make any comments, the male was suddenly lifted by Angus, his tail tightly wrapped around him with the intention of squeezing him to death.
"Face the consequences of daring to scare her," his angered voice resonated.
Seeing how easily her male beast was defeated, the female beast gritted her teeth. "Useless," she remarked.
"Angus, let him go. He was just trying to support his mate who couldn't understand his worth," Lily suggested, and right after Angus released him.
The male beast coughed repeatedly to catch his breath.
"Look, you made a mistake when you decided to become her mate. Just because you were defeated by someone more powerful than you, she called you useless. My advice: in your next life, make sure you think wisely before choosing again," Lily said with a kind smile on her lips.
