Art was stunned, and he stood rooted in one spot. "Naturally, she will recall some things only if she saw or heard anything related to her past. Could it be that one of her mates always addresses her as beauty?" he thought and clenched his fist tightly.
Lily, on the other hand, had a confused expression on her face. "Liam," she repeated. "Who's Liam?" she inquired of Art.
Art took a deep breath. "Let me take you out so that you can see outside," he offered, helping her off the bed.
....
The sky was bright and clear, beautiful with the fresh breeze. The nature around them was wet and vibrant, presenting a stunning scenery.
Lily sat on the rock, looking at everything with a lifeless gaze while Art tried every possibility to make her smile, but all was in vain.
"What can I do for you to make you smile?" Art asked, looking straight into Lily's eyes.
Lily looked at him, her mouth slowly parting, but no sound escaped her lips.
Art sighed and held her hand. "You forgetting your past is my fault. I can make you recall your past, but please allow me to be your mate," he pleaded, resting his head on her chest.
Lily's gaze fell on Art's hair, but she still didn't say anything. "He seems unhappy," she thought, her brows slightly furrowing.
Art raised his head, his gaze fixed on Lily. He bit his lower lip harshly until blood flowed, and without waiting for Lily to show any expression, he kissed her.
Lily's eyes flashed brightly, not because of the kiss, but from the taste of the blood; it was as if the blood sent a jolt through her, unlocking her memories.
Regaining her senses, she immediately pushed Art away and stood up. "What do you think you are doing?" she shouted, her voice becoming lively and her eyes regaining their spark.
Seeing Lily regain her true self, Art smiled and stood up. "Do you remember everything now?" he asked.
Lily cast another glance at Art. "You're the queen's son?" she queried.
Art remained silent.
"Look, forcing is illegal. No matter what you and your mother do to me, I will never allow you to be my mate! Never!"
Art had a pained expression on his face. "I never told her to hurt you," he said, trying to approach her, but she immediately avoided him. "I really didn't intend to hurt you." He claimed with a pained expression.
"Do I look like I need your explanation? You know what? The best favor you can do for me now is to stay away from me. I don't want to see you at all!" Lily shouted.
Art's eyes turned red. "I...."
"I really want to leave this place! I want to go out there and look for my mates. They must have been looking for me already!" Lily interrupted.
Art remained silent for a long time. "Then please, rest here for a night. I promise to take you back when it's bright," his heavy voice resonated.
Lily merely looked away without saying anything.
... the next day ...
Lily opened her eyes and found herself in familiar surroundings. She immediately stood up and went outside. "Am I really back?" she thought. "Liam!" She shouted immediately.
As soon as her voice fell, a huge white four-tailed fox landed in front of her.
Blinding lights emerged from the fox as it slowly took on a human form. "Beauty!" The four tailed fox turns out to be Liam and he exclaimed her name immediately after transforming, hugging Lily tightly. "Look, I leveled up! I'm now a four-tailed fox!" he proclaimed with excitement, showing off his tails for Lily to see.
Lily hugged Liam tightly, feeling a warmth she had never experienced before. "It's good that you are fine," she murmured, her voice choked with emotion.
Liam frowned, noticing something was off. "Did that snake and wolf bully you while I was away? Tell me, I leveled up already, and I can easily injure them," he insisted worriedly.
Lily sobbed and looked at Liam. "Where on Earth did you go?" she asked.
Liam felt heartbroken. "I noticed that I wanted to level up, so I went to a place far away to do that. I didn't want to disturb you, so that's why I went away. Did those two hurt you?" he asked with concern.
Lily shook her head. "I don't know where the others went," she murmured. Just as her words fell, Malik's panicked voice echoed from a distance.
"Angel!" He rushed up to Lily immediately and scanned her body. Only after confirming that she was fine did he relax a bit. "Angel, where did you go? I've searched for you everywhere but couldn't find you," he uttered breathlessly.
"Wait! You mean Beauty went missing?" Liam inquired immediately, and a dangerous aura spread everywhere. "What were you and that snake watching to let Beauty leave your sight? What if something happens to her?" He questioned angrily.
"I was just trying to divert the Dragon Tribe's attention away from here. I didn't expect things to turn out this way," Malik clarified.
"You!" Liam was extremely angry.
"There's no need to fight, okay? I'm right here, fine and healthy. No need to be arguing," Lily interjected, immediately stepping in between them to stop the tension.
"He just risked your safety by doing that. If I had known that both of them were this useless, I wouldn't have entrusted you to them and gone so far," Liam regretted.
"Liam," Lily called, and he glanced at her. "What matters now is that you are all fine, and I'm happy. Let's let bygones be bygones, alright?" she proposed.
Both Liam and Malik exchanged questioning glances.
"Erm..." Lily cleared her throat. "I mean... let the past stay in the past; it won't change anything even if you guys broke into a fight," she asserted.
Liam took a deep breath and lifted Lily up. "I really miss you," he remarked, cutting off the previous topic.
Lily chuckled. "I miss you more." She tilted her head and gave him a light kiss. "Right, where's Angus?" she inquired.
The atmosphere became abnormally silent at the mention of Angus.
"Be... Beauty, why don't you have something in your stomach? You must be hungry, right?" Malik stammered nervously.
A frown appeared on Lily's face, and she couldn't help but cast a suspicious glance at Malik. "What happened to Angus?" she pressed.
Malik remained silent.
"Malik!" Lily urged.
"Actually, I left the house because I saw Angus sneaking away," Malik explained after a long sigh. "He's completely useless now; he has no level of strength anymore and he has lost all his powers. He's currently in the cave, trying to catch up with time and regain his strength once again."
"What!" It was as if lightning had struck Lily; her face turned extremely pale, and her entire body felt cold instantly.
