"Get out!" Layla flinched back gazing back at her angry boyfriend.
"But I have nowhere to go...and it's in the middle of the night," she said back.
"Do I look like I care...just pack your things and leave" he yelled again.
She watched him collect her clothes and throw them at her.
They had been together for two years but now he was throwing her out, claiming he was tired of her.
But she knew it because of his parents, who had never liked her.
They have finally succeeded in convincing him to leave her.
Layla didn't say anything more grabbed her things and ran out, her tears blinding her.
Her phone had turned off since she had not charged it that, so she had no way of calling her friend or parents, and it was too late to grab or call a taxi.
"You unlucky," she said to herself.
Slowly she walked down the street hoping to get a taxi but after an hour she gave up.
She thought of going back and beg to just stay the night but knew he would not even open the door now.
Making up her mind she decided to go back to the company she worked charge her phone and call her friend to pick her up.
"Am sorry but I forgot my things inside can I go get them?" she asked the night guard.
After she showed him her employee card he let her in.
Rushing she entered the elevator to the floor she worked from, then to her desk and plugged her phone to charge.
It went back on and she made her call.
"What? That bastard?"
Mia her best friend yelled.
"He...he....Layla was crying again as she explained her situation.
"Don't cry, am on my way now. Stay there and wait till I call you " she instructed.
"Mmm," Laya agreed hanging up.
Wiping her tears, she laid her head on her desk and closed her eyes trying to calm herself down.
But soon she fell asleep.

"Should I start to demand extra....all this working late is stressing " Gale smirked.
"It's your job" Leoric muttered.
Gale chuckled, "Why did I even bother ".
They walked out of his office but suddenly stopped.
"Do you smell that?" Gale asked.
Leoric frowned moving in the opposite direction.
"I thought no one is allowed in here at this hour?" Gale said.
Leoric kept on walking to the desk where the light was on and stopped.
"What is she doing here?" Gale asked behind his friend.
"I don't know " Leoric's eyes swept over the sleeping woman.
"She seemed to have been crying " Gale pointed out.
The phone next to her buzzed but she didn't wake up. A text popped on the screen.
"Am here come out " Gale read it, "Maybe her friend came to pick her up.
Another text came in and Gale read it too.
"Layla are you there, answer me ".
Leoric whose eyes had not left the sleeping of the woman finally moved.
Gently he picked her up and walked out.
"Hi, where are you going?" Gale asked.
"Taking her there, make yourself useful," he said.
Gale frowned but picked up her things and followed him.
"Why does she have all this....was she moving?" he grumbled in the elevator.
Leoric didn't answer, they stepped out and walked to the entrance.
The guard saw them coming opening the doors.
"Lalya " they heard someone call. She came running to where they were.
"So you're the one picking her up?" Gale asked.
Mia nodded looking at them both, especially at the tall handsome man carrying her friend. He loomed familiar but she could not remember who he was.
"She is asleep," Mia noticed. The man carrying her friend walked towards Mia's car.
She ran after them opening the door, he placed her inside and stood back while Gale passed her things to Mia.
"Thank you," said Mia.
"Welcome, take care of her " Gale let out.
"I will " Mia got into her car driving off.
Gale turned to Leoric and breathed.
"You know her?"
"No".
"Then why did you help her, we could have just woken her up," Gale said.
"Her heartbeat....she is in pain," he said.
"You weird tonight have you fed yet " Gale commented
Leoric smirked and walked off.
