Layla hesitated to come out of the car, still wondering how she ended up in that situation.
Leoric stopped turning to look back. She was still inside the car.
"We are here," he said again.
"Oh mmm" Lalya stepped out.
This was all Mia's fault for having said all that.
When Leoric offered his place they all were stunned.

"She can!?" Mia stammered.
Leoric nodded.
"Really?" Gale asked
Leoric nodded again.
He moved taking her things and moved to the car.
Still looking at him until he stopped gesturing at her to follow him.
"I think he wants you to follow him " Mia whispered to her.
Layla had run to him not wanting to delay him but now she was scared.
Following him closely they entered the house.
Two maids at the door took the things he was carrying and his coat.
Lalya stood next to him in silence as her eyes moved around the huge sitting room.
"Son your home " Lalya heard a voice say.
Someone appeared, with white hair and elegantly dressed in a blue suit.
Her eyes matched his and her smile was warm.
He moved hugging her leaving Lalya exposed.
"Oh my who is that, I knew I sensed something different," his mother said.
Leoric looked back, "Mother this is Layla, she will be staying with us for now "
"Oh alright, welcome dear " his mother smiled back at her.
"Nice to....to meet you Mrs Vayne," she said.
One of the maids took her up to one of the rooms that would be hers.
She sat down on the bed in silence.
It was a large room with nothing but expensive things.
"How did I end up here " she mumbled.
After she took a shower and changed she was called down for dinner.
Leoric wasn't there only her and his mom.
Sitting further at the large dining table she sat quietly.
"So my son says you lost your home," she said.
"Mmm"
"What happened?"
"Ahh...my boyfriend told me to leave " she explained.
"I see...well you're welcome to stay as long as you want dear"
"Thank you so much, Mrs. Vayne.
After dinner, she disappeared into her room. Mia called asking how she was.

"Who is she to you son?"
Leoric breathed gazing out at the night.
"You have never bought a woman home or seemed to be ever interested in one. So how come she is here?".
He still didn't answer and his eyes moved to the balcony of her room.
"She seems to be having trouble with sleeping " his mother said as they watched Lalya standing there watching the stars.
He turned to leave and his mother said after him.
"Look after her....her heart is completely lost in darkness and pain," she said.
"I will Mother' he answered walking away
