Carl had devised a simple plan: practice stealth and ambush tactics. The mutated creatures had sharper senses than regular humans, which meant that moving quietly and using the environment to their advantage was key. But with this group? Carl wasn't optimistic.
"Alright," Carl said, gesturing to the group. "We're going to practice sneaking. The goal is to move silently and remain undetected."
Jenna raised her hand. "Can I just put everyone in my space? Then we'd all be undetected."
Carl paused, considering the loophole. "That… would work, but it defeats the purpose of training as a team."
Jenna looked disappointed but nodded. "Fine. I'll stay out here and try not to mess up."
Carl shot her a look. "Yes, please do."
As the training began, things went downhill fast. Rook's zombies were at least somewhat coordinated, though they preferred brute force over stealth. Jenna's gang, however, was another story. One zombie got its leg stuck in a pile of old car tires and stumbled around like a drunken toddler. Another was attempting to sneak while holding a bright red umbrella over its head.
Carl, watching from a distance, facepalmed. "This is a disaster."
"Don't worry, Carl!" Jenna called out from behind a rusty dumpster. "I'm sneaking!"
Carl turned to see Jenna crouched low, tiptoeing dramatically while announcing every step. "I'm sneaking now. Stealthy like a fox."
Rook, observing the chaos, couldn't help but snicker. "I think your training method needs work."
Carl groaned, barely resisting the urge to knock Rook upside the head. "You think you can do better?"
Rook shrugged. "I wouldn't waste my time."
Despite Carl's best efforts, the training session was chaotic. Rook's group kept clashing with Jenna's, growls echoing in the background. Jenna's gang, as expected, were mostly focused on random junk scattered around the area, adding to the confusion.
Carl sighed. "At this rate, the wolves are going to eat us for breakfast."
