After the accidental victory, Carl called the group together. "Alright, we've made some progress. But we're not done yet. We need to work on using our abilities in combination. That means no more distractions."
Jenna nodded enthusiastically. "Got it! I'll focus."
Carl eyed her warily. "No more hoarding random junk during training."
Jenna pouted but nodded again. "Fine."
Rook, who had been watching the whole thing with mild amusement, smirked. "Looks like you're finally whipping them into shape, Carl."
Carl shot him a glare. "We're not there yet. But we're getting closer."
The training continued, with Jenna's gang slowly starting to understand Carl's instructions. It wasn't perfect, but at least they weren't running into trees anymore. Even Rook's zombies began working with Jenna's, albeit begrudgingly.
By the end of the day, Carl stood back, watching the two groups interact. It was far from perfect, but it was progress. Maybe they had a chance after all.
