Chapter 1 - "you can't go anywhere "

"Ahh… where am I? My head hurts..." I whispered, holding my temples as the dull throb pulsed through my head.

A soft chuckle echoed behind me, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Now I got you ,you can't go anywhere accept my embrace now," the familiar voice purred, low and teasing.

I turned quickly, eyes wide with shock. The voice… it was Adam. Of course, it was him. His dark figure leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed, his glowing, amber eyes fixed on me. The memory of our last encounter rushed back. It wasn't long ago when I had left him. And now here he was, reappearing in my life in a way I couldn't quite understand. What did he want from me now? Revenge, perhaps?

"What nonsense are you thinking?" Adam's voice broke through my thoughts, soft but mocking. "I'm not going to bite you. You were knocked out at the bar last night because of your over-drinking.You know you can't handle alcohol." He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused.

I blinked at him, the confusion clouding my mind. "You… you can hear what I'm thinking?" I stammered, taking a step back.

Adam smirked, his eyes gleaming mischievously. "Yes, don't you know? And you can, too."

I swallowed, feeling a strange warmth rising in my chest. "I hate you," I muttered, my voice trembling as I tried to appear brave. "You can't control me." My words were innocent, almost childish, my big violet eyes staring at him in defiance. I could feel the desperation rising as I looked into his eyes, hoping for any hint of kindness. "Are you... are you a demon?"

Adam let out a hearty laugh, stepping closer to me. His presence was overwhelming, but not in a threatening way. His dark cloak swirled behind him as he moved, but his expression was soft, almost fond. "A demon?" He shook his head, his lips curling into a smile. "No, little one. I'm far from that. But you... you're an elf, aren't you?" His gaze softened as it swept over me, admiring the delicate features I had always been told were too innocent for the cruel world.

I shifted uncomfortably under his gaze. My soft, lavender-tinted hair fell in loose waves down my back, my pointy ears peeking through. My pale skin seemed to glow faintly in the dim light of the room, and I clutched the edges of my flowy dress, feeling small and fragile.

"You…" Adam's voice became gentle. "You're adorable when you're flustered."

My cheeks burned bright pink, and I quickly turned away, staring at the floor. "Stop it…" I whispered, embarrassed. "Why did you bring me here?"

Adam let out a sigh, as if the question tired him. "Like I said, you were drunk and passed out. I didn't think it was safe to leave you there." He stepped closer, his hand brushing a strand of hair behind my ear. His touch was surprisingly gentle, and it sent a jolt through me. "Besides," he added, his voice lowering to a whisper, "I missed you."

My heart skipped a beat at his words, but I didn't want to believe him. I still didn't trust him. "You should've left me there," I said, trying to sound firm but failing miserably.

Adam chuckled again, the sound deep and soothing. "Silly elf," he murmured, almost affectionately. "I could never leave you alone. Not anymore."

I glanced up at him, biting my lip nervously. His eyes met mine, filled with something I couldn't quite place. Admiration? Longing?

"Adam…" I whispered, feeling a strange pull towards him, even though I wanted to resist. He was infuriating, and yet, there was something comforting about his presence. Like I was safe, even though everything felt dangerous.

He smiled, the corners of his lips turning up in a way that made him look almost... kind. "You don't have to be afraid of me," he said softly, as if reading my thoughts again. "I'm not here to hurt you."
