"Hello, Adam. Where's Ella? Just give me back my daughter!" the voice on the other end of the phone was filled with desperation.
"I don't think that can happen," Adam replied calmly, his tone unwavering. "I can't release those vampires who barged into our territory uninvited. That's unacceptable."
There was a brief pause, and Adam's voice softened slightly, but there was a dangerous edge beneath his words. "Your daughter is my girlfriend. Soon, she will be my wife. I'm just trying to protect her."
The line went dead.
Ella hated vampires more than anything in the world, and the thought of marrying one made her stomach twist. Her family had been torn apart by vampires—her father, who had been everything to her, was killed by them. She had always been a pure soul, refusing to seek revenge, but now she couldn't believe this was happening. How could she marry the heir to the same world that had taken so much from her?
And it wasn't just any vampire. It was Adam—the future king of the vampire world. He was supposed to marry his true love to become king. That was the rule. But Adam didn't want Ella to be dragged into the danger that came with his title. His enemies would stop at nothing to kill her, knowing that only a vampire's true love could make him king. It was his fortune—and her curse.
....
Ella blinked, her surroundings slowly coming into focus. She found herself standing on the balcony of a grand villa, gazing down at the lush gardens below. "Why am I here?" she mumbled to herself. "He can't force me to stay with him…"
Her heart ached, and her mind raced with confusion. She wanted to escape, to run far away. "I want flowers," she murmured, as if that simple wish could make everything better.
She tried to sneak out of the house, but it was so large and unfamiliar. Every hallway seemed to twist and turn, leading her deeper into the maze-like mansion. She felt like she was lost, her small frame dwarfed by the grand scale of the place. Ella was small, delicate, and her emotions often gave her away—she couldn't hide her true form when she was frightened or happy.
As she wandered, her steps faltered when she spotted something that made her stomach drop—skulls hanging beside one of the doors. A wave of fear washed over her, but her curiosity got the better of her. She couldn't help but open the door and step inside.
The room was eerie, bathed in the glow of dim red lights. Rich, crimson carpets lined the floor, and the atmosphere sent shivers down her spine. It was strangely empty, yet everything was perfectly arranged, like it had been waiting for someone. She heard faint sounds coming from a door near the bed.
Her heart raced as she tiptoed towards the door, her curiosity taking over. "What could it be?"she thought, her hand trembling as she reached for the doorknob. But before she could fully process what was happening, a strong hand grabbed her, pulling her inside.
A scream left her mouth, but it quickly turned into a gasp of surprise as she opened her eyes and saw Adam standing there. He was close—so close that she could feel the warmth radiating from his skin. Her breath caught in her throat as she realized she had barged into his bath.
"Oh…" Her cheeks flushed as her gaze fell to his bare chest. Adam's body was sculpted, his muscles defined and glistening with droplets of water. She had never been this close to him before, and seeing him like this stirred something inside her. "He looks so good…" she thought, biting her lip in embarrassment. "I want to touch it".
But before she could dwell on her thoughts, her face turned bright red, and in her flustered state, she unintentionally shifted into her true form—her delicate elf features revealing themselves.
Adam smirked, his eyes gleaming with amusement as he looked at her. "So, how long are you going to stare at my body?" he teased, his voice filled with mischief.
Ella was mortified. Her face felt like it was on fire as she tried to stammer out a response. "I… I wasn't… I mean…"
Before she could finish, Adam leaned closer, turning her over gently, his tone shifting to something more serious yet still playful. "So… you want to be with me?" he asked, his breath warm against her skin.
Ella's heart raced. Was he seriously messing with me?she thought. In a panic, she reached out, her hand brushing against his chest. The moment her fingers made contact with his skin, Adam's expression faltered, and she seized the chance.
Without wasting a second, she bolted from the room, her legs moving faster than they ever had before. Her breath came in ragged gasps as she ran back to her own room, slamming the door behind her. She leaned against it, her chest heaving as she tried to catch her breath. Her heart pounded so loudly she could barely hear anything else.
For a moment, she stood there, her hand pressed against her chest. I don't know how to breathe anymore, she thought, her face still burning with embarrassment
