Obelia slowly embroidered her handkerchief and looked at the old stormy night. "Today should be the day Hagrid picks up Harry Potter isn't it?" Obelia looks at the window for a few more seconds before going downstairs towards her father and mother.
"When are we going back to America?" Obelia sits down next to her father and mother. She thought it would be safer to stay in America, away from the war that would soon happen in London.
"I told you, honey, we can't go back right now, your father and I are wanted in 26 states right now, London is safe." Her mother spoke, in a soft yet tired voice, knitting a green sweeter.
"Summers almost over, you told me I was going to go to the best private school there is." Obelia thought for a few seconds before tightening the stitch and closing it off. 'Any school that's not Hogwarts.'
"I know honey, but that was before your father and Uncle got caught making illegal artifacts." Her mother said, pathing Obelia's head before slowly getting up, "Now go to bed, tomorrow is an important day for all of us."
Obelia slowly got up and made her way upstairs to her bed, 'I just don't want to die…'
Obelia knew her family were strong wizards, they could harness magic and put it into items without the need for a wand, allowing them to sell the items and bring the family riches. Obelia could do it as well, but she lacked talent. Her father was able to make glass balls containing spells and charms, and her Uncle was able to create enchanted items like glasses containing spells and charms or even earrings.
'The problem is the amount of money it costs to create said item, you need to have jewels or glass strong enough to withstand such magic.'
Obelia didn't require such a thing, when she used her needle all she needed was time and an idea of what spells or charms she would use, but having jewels would make it easier and stronger since string wouldn't contain magic forever.
'Anything but Hogwarts, Anything but Hogwarts please.' Obelia was not religious but she still prayed, hoping she would not see any white owls.
____
'Gods not real.' Obelia looked at the white owl in front of her as well as her father and mother next to the owl.
"Isn't this great honey? I guess Hogwarts doesn't mind if you come from a family of criminals!" Her father spoke in an excited voice, petting the owl's head.
'I wish they did mind that…'
"I don't want to go to Hogwarts," Obelia said taking the letter from the owl and giving him some treats. "I would be bullied and shamed,"
Obelia knew she wouldn't because she had a habit of fighting fire with fire, but even then she was not strong enough to fight the whole school.
"Honey, think about the bright side, you won't have to be on the run with us anymore!" Her mother said, looking at the letter in Obelia's hand, "Now let's start packing, shall we?"
'…If you can't bear them join them I suppose.'
Obelia opens the letter revealing the list of items she needs as well as congratulations for getting into Hogwarts, 'I thought only people who lived here could get in, what a bunch of lies.'
____
Diagon Alley was filled with mystical items and wonders, Obelia looked at the 100 galleons she received at the Gringottos bank, 'I didn't know my family already had a safe, I guess Uncle Hans stores all the items he has here.'
This was the last store Obelia had to visit, her family had obtained everything she would ever need in a leather suitcase that had a pocket dimension in it, whether it was illegal or legal was not her concern, as long as she was never caught.
'Now I just have to wait…'
Obelia was making her way out of Diagon Alley when she ran into a black cat with one eye purple and another eye gold, 'That cat is so cute!' She quickly picked it up, it was just a small kitten, but it wasn't scared at all letting out small meows.
"I will raise you as my own! Your name shall be Eno!" Obelia thought for a second before deciding to hide the cat from the eyes of Hogwarts, she wasn't sure if animals other than necessary were allowed entry.
'I regret only watching the first movie'
___
"WHY IS MY WAND MADE OF GLASS, IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE WOOD!"
Obelia looks at her father who handed her the out-of-the-ordinary wand.
"You don't even need a wand, what's the point of getting you one?" Her father said, fixing his daughter's tie and walking her to the door.
Obelia looked at her father and rolled her eyes, 'If I take this wand out I will look like a cat surrounded by lions!' Obelia walked out with her father and mother both heading to the train station.
"Come on Eno, into my pocket you go." Obelia quickly grabbed the small kitten and made her way to Platform 9 and 3/4 quarters. 'I hope I got here early enough to get my own compartment' she thought before looking back at her father and mother.
"Goodbye!" She waved and faded into the wall.
Her parents looked at her for a while before turning away, "I hope she doesn't cause any trouble," her mother said. Her father thought for a moment, "I just hope she doesn't get caught, we raised her better than that."
___
"Looks like I got here early enough," Obelia said before sitting down and placing her leather suitcase next to her.
Obelia took Eno out of her large pocket hidden under her cloak and placed the small kitten on her lap.
'I feel like making a handkerchief,' she thought before grabbing a silky dark green cloth and two small emerald jewels.
She looked out for a window for a second and reached for white string, 'I want to make something beautiful that comforts others'
