Gray Graham just had a rough day at high school, he was walking home one day after school. However, when he walked past an alley, he noticed a green vortex in an alley. He approached it and reached out to touch it.
Gray: "What the-"
Suddenly, it yanked him in and he was falling through the strange vortex. Eventually he crashed into a table. When he looked around he saw seven strange looking individuals. One had a body of black fire with all blue eyes and no visible mouth. He wore a business suit with a blue tie.
???: "A human- You idiots forgot to close the portal again..."
He gripped the bridge of his nose. The others looked away looking with the traditional guilty expressions. He walked over and grabbed Gray, dragging him to an empty room with weapons on the walls.
Gray: "Wha- Who are you?"
???: "Listen, let me explain a few things..."
He straightened his tie as Gray looked up, being slightly shorter than him.
???: "My name is Boss. You are in the Ghost World."
Gray: "Wait- Ghosts!?"
Boss: "Yes. Everybody you will meet here in this building and out in the city is a ghost. However, you are here illegally since you are human. Thus, to prevent you from getting sent to prison, you will be working for me. As a Ghost Agent."
Gray: "What's a Ghost Agent?"
Boss: "You will work with your new coworkers to kill Anarghosts, ghosts who want to bring chaos by illegally going to the human world. That is why sometimes damage randomly appears across the world."
Gray: "How come no one-"
Boss: "Sees us? Simple, unless exposed to the haunted atmosphere of the Ghost World, humans can't see ghosts. Since you are in the Ghost World, you'll see ghosts forever now."
Gray: "Oh...will I at least get paid-"
Boss: "No. Working here is your punishment after all."
Gray: "Right...so can I opt for an alternat-"
Boss grabbed his shoulder and dragged him back into the room he initially landed in.
Boss: "Now I'll introduce your coworkers. First up..."
Boss pointed to two ghosts. They both were wearing clown outfits. One a boy, one a girl. The girl had pure white skin and jet black eyes, her clown outfit was jet black with white buttons. The boy was a color swap of her basically. What was white on her was jet black on him and vice versa.
Boss: "Their names are Al and Lex."
The girl, Al, walked up to Gray with a smile on her face.
Al: "Hi new guy! It's so nice to meet you!"
Gray: "Uh...nice to meet you too..."
Gray was surprised by how nice Al was, but then Lex walked over.
Al: "This is my twin bro Lex! He's a bit of a depresso espresso! Don't mind him!"
Lex: "Don't expect me to be nice to you new guy..."
Gray sighed a bit at Lex's words but then boss pointed to another ghost. She had pink skin and her eyes were white. Her hair was pink lightning and she had a few piercings. She wore a black crop top and jean shorts with black shoes.
Boss: "She's Blitzney. Warning, she's a wild card."
Blitzney: "Sup newbie! Nice to meetcha! We haven't had a new member in a long while!"
Gray blushed at her manner of dress and she gave a knowing smirk before looking away. Boss then pointed to the next Ghost Agent. He had raggedy clothes. On his wrists and neck were shackles with broken chains, he had no shoes and his skin was light blue. He had white eyes.
Boss: "His name is-"
Marley: "You can call me Marley new guy! I can tell we'll be best buds!"
Marley holds out a fist to fistbump Gray. Gray rubbed his neck but fistbumped him. To which Marley did a BWOOSH! sound and laughed. Marley and Al were definitely the nicest so far.
Boss: "Next up is him."
Boss pointed to a ghost with white skin. His eyes were blue, and he wore a dark grey hoodie with jeans. He had a mildly irritated demeanor, unlike Lex who was just sad.
Boss: "He's Javedyn."
Javedyn: "You better not weigh us down new guy. If you do I'll spear you myself."
He muttered something about wanting to play "Fallout: New Vegas" before rolling his eyes and sitting in his seat.
(Ghosts over time stole games, manga, comics, movies, and streaming services from the Human World because most ghosts were humans so they just brought those things over and replicated them. So ghosts have pretty much everything humans do.)
Boss sighed before pointing to the last one. He had jet black skin, red eyes, horns, and a tail. He wore a private school uniform with his own custom changes.
Boss: "He's Lexateel and he's-"
Javedyn chimed in. Interrupting Boss.
Javedyn: "A looney bin asshole."
Lexateel let out a psychotic laugh before speaking. His voice aiming to fuck with Javedyn by appearing high pitched.
Lexateel: "That's mean Jave~ No need to be rude to a friend~"
Javedyn: "We are not friends."
Lexateel laughed before looking at Gray. His tail flicked behind him and he held a grin on his face. He spoke up, his voice piercing Gray's ears.
Lexateel: "Welcome the Ghost Agents, fresh meat! A human like you is gonna add some extra fun round here!"
Lexateel had a slightly psychotic voice and laugh. Gray was a bit creeped out by him. So far his opinions were, Boss is the one in charge and he's neutral, Al and Marley are super nice and will probably be his friends, Blitzney is a wild card but not bad, Lex is always sad and depressing but he could maybe be nice, Javedyn was cold and rude but it was probably just a face, and Lexateel was fucking demented.
Gray sighed as he sat in the new seat at the table Boss got him and was now the newest member of the Ghost Agents. This regular human was now in a world of action and ghosts.
