Gray woke up to yelling from Boss and Lexateel. He went down to the main area and saw the others watching, some of them laughing at it.
Boss: "NO LEXATEEL YOU ARE GOING TO READ THE 3 MILLION GHOST DOLLAR FINE YOU CAUSED ME TO HAVE TO PAY!!!"
Lexateel: "Man, readings only fun with manga-"
Boss slammed his face into the paper causing some ectoplasm to come from his nose.
Boss: "I SAID READ!!!"
Lexateel: "Okay okay...chill Boss..."
Boss: "HOW DID YOU EVEN CAUSE 3 MILLION WORTH IN PROPERTY DAMAGE IN TEN MINUTES!?!"
Gray looked concerned.
Gray: "What happened?"
Marley: "Lexateel gets us fined for his insane actions so now Boss is mad again."
AFTER A FEW HOURS WHEN EVERYTHING CALMED DOWN...
Boss dismissed them all to go do something in the main city that was the Ghost World. Gray looked around in awe. It was the first time he'd seen the Ghost World outside of the Ghost Agents office.
He got a few weird looks from the other ghosts, however since he was with the Ghost Agents, who were well known even if for not the best reasons, they left him alone. They all went to food stop.
Blitzney: "I'll pay for your food newbie! Since you ain't gonna get paid and all."
Gray nodded a bit as all of them entered and got a big table. Marley passed him a green, glowing apple.
Marley: "Gray you have got to try ghost apples."
Gray: "Why?"
Marley: "Just take a bite and slurp. Trust me!"
Gray did as Marley said. He bit into the apple and slurped. When he did, he felt a rush of amazing flavor melt onto his tongue in a refreshing juice. It tasted like apple juice but better, and it was cold too. It was like drinking some fresh apple juice.
Gray: "Oh my God you were right! It's amazing!"
Marley: "I never lie! Mostly anyhow."
Blitzney laughed a bit at Gray's reaction to the ghost apple.
Blitzney: "I think they get everyone on their first time newbie."
When the food arrived, it didn't look great. It was a slop covered in ectoplasm.
Gray: "I thought ectoplasm was what you guys bled...why is it on food?"
Javedyn: "They used the same name on the substance our food has to be layered in Gray."
Over the past few days, Javedyn was less rude to Gray, but still not all warm and fuzzy. He mostly lightened up because Gray also liked Fallout and Persona.
Gray: "Thanks Javedyn."
Lexateel: "Don't thank Jave~ He just spoke common knowledge."
Javedyn: "At least Boss didn't slam my face into a table."
Lexateel and Javedyn loved hating on each other more than they loved their passions. Gray had picked up on that easily.
Lex: "I don't get why you're arguing...it's pointless anyway..."
Al: "Lex don't talk like that bro! Life- Er...afterlife is great! Oh and Gray, the food is good you just gotta get past the looks!"
Gray listened to her and took a bite. Al wasn't kidding. The food was actually pretty decent. Other than the appearance. To him, ghost food and drink looked off-putting but tasted great.
After the meal they return to the office and Boss is sitting at the head of the table they all sat at for actually doing their jobs.
Boss: "All of you sit."
They listen and then Al chimed in.
Al: "Why are we sitting Boss?"
Boss: "I've picked up an Anarghost. You all are going to kill it understood."
All: "Yes Boss!"
Boss: "Kid, this is your first mission. If you want to live another day and not put the training to waste, you will fight out there got it."
Gray: "Y-yes Boss!"
Boss: "Good. All of you go to the arms closet and grab your weapons. The Anarghost's location is at Seoul in South Korea. Hop to it!"
They all got up and went to grab their weapons, Al and Lex grabbed their oversized hammers, Blitzney grabbed her twin pistols, Marley grabbed his combining dagger and staff, Javedyn grabbed his spear, Lexateel grabbed his sword, and Gray grabbed his...nunchucks...
God, Gray hated the nunchucks.
