The Coven
I brush my long back hair to the side, watching my other witches practice spells. Solar, Eclipse, and Star are my students. I am the leader of one of the most powerful Covens I have ever seen. My name is Saturn. Ever since I was three, I knew that I was a witch, a powerful one at that. I was destined to be the leader, never missing a step. Headstrong is how I was mainly described.
But I can't help it lately. I've been feeling evil take over me though I want to be good. I can't help the darkness living inside me the black magic that has gripped a hold of my soul.
"Look at this," Eclipse analyzes me just waiting for my reaction.
We performed a future spell, and as I gazed into the crystal ball, a mighty wolf appeared. The wolf transformed into a man, and I watched him in fascination. Everything about him captivated me. He had long, flowing brown hair and golden light brown eyes, the color of freshly melted caramel.
He was muscular but sensitive. He presents himself with pride but not cockiness.
"Earth to Saturn?" I hear Star break my concentration.
"Something about this man is very peculiar." I pressed my finger to my lips. I imagine what his kiss would be like.
What is going on with me? I have never acted this way before.
"He is very handsome if I say so myself, "Eclipse says, her rosy cheeks perked in a smile.
I take one last look at the handsome werewolf, the one who has inspired so much curiosity.
"I'm not sure how he's in our future but I intend to find out."
The crystal ball goes back to normal having a gray appearance with no image inside.
I watch Solar, who is completely absorbed in her phone and paying no attention to her surroundings. Solar has always been the quintessential technology nerd. She wears oversized glasses that cover most of her face, yet they don't diminish her beauty at all. Her red, curly hair frames her face, and freckles line her nose perfectly.
Eclipse, on the other hand, was our nature girl She loved anything related to the outdoors. She's usually wearing a pair of cowboy boots and a matching flannel shirt. She has light brown hair and beautiful green eyes, the color of fresh grapes.
Star was our clown, always ready to crack a joke. She had blonde hair and a bubbly personality to match. Her blue eyes weren't deep like blueberries but resembled the ocean, a stunning, light blue that I'd ever seen.
Then there's me: I have black hair and deep orange eyes. I'm more of a punk, and some people see me and aren't sure if I'm going to start a band or rob a bank.
I have always found it a bit peculiar how such a diverse group of girls has come together to form such a powerful coven. Regardless of the reason, I believe we are destined to be united. We are ready to transform the world of magic, and that is my motto.
"I have some things I need to do. I wanted to collect a couple of pine cones for bird feeders," Eclipse tells me.
I nod.
"We'll meet up here in a few hours." I look around the faces of the girls that I am to protect.
They all smile and nod in agreement. I know they must have plans.
I frown on the inside as they all walk away. I know I should be out doing something but lately, I've been obsessed with this magic the more I can process the more that I can do.
"Do you want me to hang out," Star asks.
I shake my head. "I am sure that you have plans."
I watch as all the girls walk away once I am sure they are gone. I did the future spell and watched The Wolf Boy, which I have grown to be so obsessed with.
A few hours later I parked my motorcycle outside the Pizza restaurant. Though I can probably magically create any food I want, it would feel nice to get out and see some surroundings other than the magic chapel.
"Saturn." I hear Cedric.
I smile. Cedric, Colton, and Connor. They are a pack of mighty black bears. Very ferocious, very deviant, and very fun.
"Where's your pack?" Colton asks, with that groffy ass grin.
I roll my eyes. " It's a coven."
"Oh, a group of beautiful witches I like," he eyes me.
The black bears were kind of like friends to us, very special friends. None of us were on the lines of dating but we were on the lines of fucking. And since there are four of us and three of them well you know what type of parties we had.
"Why don't we get together tonight," Cedric asks.
I nod. "Sure."
"See you later," Connor tells me.
"Hey Cedric," he turns to face me.
"Yeah?"
"You wouldn't know of any werewolves would you?"
He seems kind of thrown off on my question, his eyebrows lift.
"Alpha Yona's pack." As he almost hissed the words, I could tell they were not friends.
"What do you know about them?"
"We're not friends with the wolves, and I suggest you stay in the way."
"Why?"
He eyes me for a moment.
"Because the goody two shoes Alpha, would not be your style."
I smile." You're probably right."
"Why did you run into the pack?" Connor asks.
Great, now I have to explain my curiosity.
"No, I've heard about them."
"Well, I would leave it as that," Cedric tells me before walking away.
I let out a deep breath trapped in my chest because of frustration. Why do the bears hate the werewolves and is that true? Is the alpha too good for me?
