At the Feng family estate in Yuncheng, one of the four great families:
"Miss, you asked me to monitor Ye Feng. It seems something has happened recently," a well-dressed man reported to Feng Linlin respectfully.
"What? Tell me, what happened to Brother Ye?" Feng Linlin asked anxiously, her composure slipping at the mention of her beloved Ye Feng.
The man noticed the young lady's nervous expression and sighed inwardly. The usually dignified Miss Feng had become so flustered over Ye Feng. If her other suitors knew, they'd be heartbroken.
"Ye Feng took his sister Ye Yao to Moyu Group to confront Liu Yanru, but was beaten. Then, someone kidnapped Ye Yao from Blood Rose's territory," he explained. "I doubt they realize how dangerous Blood Rose is."
"Is Brother Ye seriously injured? When did this happen? Uncle Wang, I need to see him," Feng Linlin demanded, her words tumbling out. "Have you investigated? Who's behind this?"
Thinking of Ye Yao, she added, "Where is she now? Eliminate the kidnappers and save her!"
"Miss, don't worry. Ye Feng is fine, just a dislocated arm that's been fixed," Wang Jing assured her. "They've left Blood Rose. Our investigation shows a bodyguard named Chu Ge and his assistant, Li Lanyin, are responsible. Chu Ge works for Liu Yanru of Moyu Group."
"Warn Chu Ge that Ye Feng is not to be trifled with," Feng Linlin ordered. "If he doesn't listen, eliminate him."
"Miss, forgive me, but Ye Feng isn't suitable for you," Wang Jing ventured. "Your backgrounds are too different. The Patriarch would never approve."
"You don't know him," Feng Linlin insisted. "He can achieve anything he sets his mind to."
Meanwhile, Chu Ge received an urgent call from Li Lanyin. "Boss, we've been attacked by unidentified people. Ye Yao is still with us, but it was close. Don't worry, I'll complete the plan."
Chu Ge decided to handle the situation personally. "Send me the address. I'm coming over."
After explaining to Liu Yanru, Chu Ge rushed to the underground parking lot and sped off in her car.
Li Lanyin, awaiting Chu Ge's arrival, had swapped clothes between the unconscious Ye Yao and her best friend as a precaution. Li Fei had taken the real Ye Yao to a suite in the Sky Hotel.
At the hotel, Zhao Lingyun admired the unconscious Ye Yao. "Li Fei, you've done well. Unlike those incompetents, you'll be promoted to supervisor."
When Li Fei didn't leave immediately, Zhao Lingyun grew impatient. "Are you blind? Get out!"
Li Fei, stalling for time, pretended to ask for money. Zhao Lingyun threw him some cash, and Li Fei finally left after receiving a signal on his phone.
Chu Ge arrived at a nearby rooftop, meeting Li Lanyin. "What's the situation?" he asked, admiring his secretary's appearance in white sportswear.
"Perfect timing, boss. Ye Feng has just arrived," Li Lanyin reported.
"The show's about to start. We can't miss it," Chu Ge chuckled. Although their cover might be blown, it didn't matter as long as Ye Feng killed Zhao Lingyun.
Ye Feng and his brothers stormed the hotel, killing Zhao Lingyun's bodyguards. Ye Feng burst into the room, finding Zhao Lingyun emerging naked from the bathroom.
"Who are you?" Zhao Lingyun asked, backing away cautiously.
Ye Feng, consumed by rage, roared, "I want you dead!" He charged forward, stabbing Zhao Lingyun repeatedly.
"Wait, don't kill me! I didn't do anything!" Zhao Lingyun pleaded, realizing he might have been set up.
"You dare to quibble? Die!" Ye Feng shouted, continuing his assault.
"Boss, Yaoyao's clothes are intact. She's fine," Wang Shi called out, holding the unconscious girl.
"Boss, we need to go. Someone will call the police soon," the others urged, pulling Ye Feng away from the bloodied, lifeless Zhao Lingyun.
