Chapter 9 - Classroom – Haruki

After dropping my little brother off in front of his building, I head to my classroom without saying anything.

"Truth be told, I'm a little worried, why would a princess from another clan talk to my brother? Although she was hiding it, I could tell she had quite a strong aura. I must be careful not to mess with her. I think it's getting a little late, I'll run to get there in time. Should I use the Augmentation System?.... On second thought, I don't think it's necessary. With my natural strength I'll make it."

Having said that, I take a stride and start running. The group of Class F to B buildings is to the east of the auditorium, and the Class A building is to the west, but it's no problem for me. I'll make it in time.

After running for a few minutes, I reach my destination.

"What is this? More than a building, it looks like a big villa."

The building was surrounded by a large field of green grass, perfectly mowed, with some flowers marking the path to the building, and a small marble fountain in the shape of a dragon. As I stood in front of the building, it was obvious that it was much larger than those of the other classes; it even had details decorated with pure gold at the entrance.

"What kind of luxuries are these. Don't you think they are overdoing it with this presentation. I'm disgusted by such extravagant things..... But before I enter the building, I'll use the Ice System to cool down. I don't want to arrive sweating in the lounge."

— Ice System: Cold Wind.

My body began to emit a small glow of white, almost blue.

"I need to catalyze this ability within me to just cool me down. I must not let it get out of control, even if this is my first time trying, I must succeed."

I feel the energy flows coursing through my entire body. When I'm done, the glow disappears and, in turn, I feel my body cool down and sweat off.

"It's really fascinating how the Ice System can be used for such trivial things.... I have to concentrate hard though, I guess I'm just out of practice."

After using Cold Wind, I enter the ostentatious building that belonged to the A-class. I follow the directions and arrive at the door of a hall. I slide the door a little and see all the "insects" already seated in their places. Without saying anything, I enter the classroom as if it were the most natural thing in the world.

"It looks like all the rows of seats are already taken. There are only two left: the one closest to the blackboard and the one off to the side at the back of the room, but there's that princess-worm. I don't want to associate with someone so troublesome. At the very least, I'll sit in that spot at the front, which only has one person sitting in it."

I proceed to sit in the chair closest to the board and settle in. For some reason, this spot was only occupied by one person. After I sat down, I heard a familiar voice at my side.

— Hello, Haruki. You've arrived," a sweet voice is heard.

"That's right, I recognize that voice. It's the same annoying elf who talked to me in the auditorium. Why did I get touched by her again? Although, come to think of it, I won't have to introduce myself to someone new... but I can't remember her name. I think it was... Lala? Lita? No, it was different. Got it!"

— Hi, Lathy, how are you," I say to her as I smile politely.

At that moment, I couldn't make out her face, but if I had to guess, it would be that of a desolate person in shock, you could even say she dropped her temperature. With a dry voice and an empty, possibly lifeless expression, he replies:

— No, you're wrong... My name is Lylyth... of the Central Tree.

A few seconds passed in awkward silence.

"Damn it, I screwed up. I just have to act like that mistake never happened. I'll keep up my nice girl facade, give her a smile."

— Hey, Lylyth, I'm home. How are you?

— How are you? Oh, yeah, fine," her expression was still lifeless and in shock.

After that awkward silence, three teachers entered the room. Two of them had training uniforms, while the other wore a more elegant uniform. The latter set a briefcase on the desk and began to speak:

— Welcome everyone (I recognized that voice, it's the same as Professor Yukimura's), to the elite class, Class A. My name is Yukimura Seiji, and together with my fellow instructors we will be your teachers. Both teachers are experts in physical training, and they will train you in that area, while I will help you improve in the use of the System. You will address me as Professor Yukimura. I will be their teacher-in-charge for the next three years....

"Some time passed since the teacher began to speak. In short, he explained to us how the school works: duels, promoting a class, getting along, and such things."

— Now, everyone will introduce themselves and say their name.

Absolutely everyone introduces themselves, Lylyth being the first, until we get to the last one. She gets up from her seat and introduces herself to everyone:

— My name is Seraphine Von Phoenix, and I am the princess of the Phoenix clan. Pleased to meet you.

She introduced herself in an elegant manner. Everyone was surprised by such a beautiful introduction, everyone but me. Then, the professor addressed the group:

— Okay, now that everyone has introduced themselves, to conclude, we will have an audience with the headmistress of this institution. So, follow me.

"Why would I have to go see a wrinkled old woman when I can go see my little brother's pretty face?"

— Okay, Lylyth, it's time to go.

"I hope he's not sad anymore. I wouldn't want him to get revenge later."

— R-really I wouldn't...

Without giving her a chance to finish, I take Lylyth by the hand and lead her away with me.

"I guess there won't be any other way. I'll have to do this."

— Hey, Lylyth, sorry for not remembering your name," tilting my head, "I'm really sorry about that. I'm just not good at remembering names, but if you wanted me to, I'd love to be your friend.

Lylyth, with a joyful face, replies:

— E-seriously? The truth is, I'd like to be your friend, too. I forgive you for not remembering my name. It happens to me more often than you think. Please stand up.

In Lylyth's thoughts: Yay! I was finally able to make a friend. I knew being nice to people was the best thing to do. Thank you so much, Grandma.

"Hahaha, we should be fine with that. What a great actress I am."

— Okay, Lylyth, let's go with the others. They were already a little ahead of me.

Lylyth, possibly with a smile and tears in her eyes, replies:

— Yes! Let's go, Haruki.

After that emotional introduction, we catch up with the group. As we move forward, a large building that looked like a palace comes into view closer and closer.
