Chapter 14 - The Races and their Origins B

The next chapter is called the "Lekians".

"The Lekian race."

"The Lekian are the only race that inhabits the sea. They are located south of the Jagen continent and are the only ones capable of living in deep water. They are the main providers of fish throughout the world. Like the Tirios, they possess special characteristics, but focused on the sea. They have a surprising affinity with the Aqua system, being the ones who master it the best. Out of the water, their physical capabilities decline considerably, but in the water they could physically surpass their neighbors the Tirios. Beyond their combat capabilities and their mastery of the fish market, no further information is available. Their way of introducing themselves is as follows: 'I am *** of the South Sea'."

After the Lekians, the "Drakos" follow.

"The race of the Drakos"

"The Drakos race is one of the three strongest. They are located south of the Central Continent, sharing part of the territory with humans. The humans managed to get the Drakos to live only in rocky areas thanks to a peace agreement. This area is known as Ejderha and is recognized worldwide as the empire of the Drakos. Despite feuds with humans, they have prospered peacefully for over 1500 years. This race is an evolution of the dragons that inhabit the world, with the difference that the Drakos are much more intelligent and rational. Their main characteristics are horns, which can vary in quantity and shape, a scaly dragon-like tail and reptilian eyes. In all other respects, they resemble humans. They have an innate affinity for the Fire system. Although they do not have a large population, they are considered one of the three world powers."

After that chapter, the "Phoenixes" follow.

"The Phoenix clan."

"The Phoenix race is considered a clan, numbering a few hundred people who thrive in the northern continent called Kakure. They are one of the three strongest races and are part of the world powers. They have a unique clan system called Crimson, which only elite class warriors can use. This system is considered one of the most powerful and difficult to master. Phoenix clan members are very similar to humans, differing only by their eyes, which are crimson red, and by the pupil, which is slightly oval. Those who cannot use the Crimson system have good affinity with the Fire system. A common clan member can be distinguished from an elite one by the color of their hair: those affine to the Fire system have dull red hair, while elite warriors have black hair, turning red only when using the Crimson system. Above the elite warriors are the royalty, capable of mastering the Crimson system at its maximum power. The longevity of this race is uncertain and unknown. Thanks to the royals, the Phoenix clan ranks as the second most powerful race in the world, second only to the race closest to the gods."

The next chapter is dedicated to the "Fylkas".

"The Race of the Fylkas."

"This race is considered the most feared and powerful of all. They have absolute affinity with the seven main Systems, coming to dominate at least three of them. They are all women with an appearance comparable to that of the gods, standing out for their beautiful body and face. They have two feathered wings on their backs and eyes of different colors. They were created by the god Urano and call themselves Uranus. Their main motivation is to seek as much knowledge as possible. They possess information accumulated over thousands of years of history, and their eagerness to acquire more led them to separate. They have no fixed place of residence, as they are scattered all over the world. It is estimated that there are a total of 49 Uranus throughout the planet, although some are more powerful than others. There are records of seven Uranus, each listed as a power –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– but they are ––––––––––––––––––– –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– tiempo."

"Why are these parts in black, what happened to the Uranus?"

As I was reading, not realizing how it happened, I heard a voice coming from behind me.

— Young man, it's closing time.

As I turned around startled, I realized it was the librarian, who was talking to me with her eyes closed and a smile on her face. As I looked around I saw Gisei, I noticed that she was fast asleep with a book in her hands. I also saw, through the windows, that it was already dark.

"At what point did so much time pass? It's already night and Gisei is asleep. Maybe..."

Before I could think any further, the librarian slowly approached until our heads almost collided. Then she opened her eyes and looked directly at my open book in the Fylkas part. In a sweet voice and looking at me, she said:

— So you are interested in history, young man. -He smiled coquettishly as he put a hand to his lips. I can teach you everything I know... as long as you do me a favor.

After telling me that, he sat down on the table and put his hand on my cheek.

"W-what's going on? Is he flirting? It can't be... he's getting closer. Is this my dream moment? I'm nervous, but so what! She's beautiful. If I don't do it now, I won't consider myself a man. I'll do it!"

With my heart racing and determined, I closed my eyes, waiting for what would happen. Slowly I felt her approaching my lips, but, as if it was a joke, I heard Gisei talking in her sleep. Startled, I opened my eyes and saw that the librarian was no longer nearby. With a welter of emotions, I looked at Gisei, who was talking in her sleep. Between angry, anxious and scared, I hit her on the head.

— Listen to me, wake up, it's already night! -I shouted angrily.

— What's wrong with you, stupid! Is that how you wake up a lady? -said Gisei while trying to hit me.

— The only lady here is the librarian downstairs!

— Do you want to fight, skinny boy? -Gisei said, adopting a defensive pose.

"I guess today won't be the day, and all thanks to this silly sleepyhead."

— We'd better go, Gisei. It's already too late.

— Uhm, right. -Tsk, she clicked her tongue. Anyway, let's go," she said, calmer as she looked up at the night sky.

Without another word, we proceeded to put the books away and walked down the stairs to the front desk. Hoping to meet the beautiful librarian, I looked around, but couldn't find her.

— What are you standing there for, you idiot? Let's go already!

— The librarian's not here. Are we really going to leave like that?

— She must be busy with more important things than saying goodbye to an idiot like you.

— Surely you're envious that the librarian is much more beautiful and curvier than a flat girl like you," I mentioned with a smirk.

After saying that, I noticed that Gisei had a grim face and a scary aura. Noticing his bloodlust, I did what anyone would do: run. When he saw that I made a strategic retreat, he chased me, shouting:

— You fucking degenerate, I'll kill you!

— Forgive me, Gisei, you've got your charm too!
