"Son,it is better for you to leave this place. Don't torment yourself for my sake and stay in this he'll of a place. You are almost twelve years old so don't stay here any longer,understand?" Akira, Lenox's mother said with tears in her eyes as she stared at her son ,Lenox with pitiful eyes . Akira is the third concubine of the emperor of Wolf Empire,king Alexander. Lenox stared at his mother with a smile on his face that made him look cute especially with his white hair and blue eyes that had a different kind of charm in them." Am not leaving," Lenox said softly but the firmness in his words could not be questioned. He extended his hands and wiped away his mother's tears. Although he was the third son of the emperor, Lenox status was very low in the palace that even comparing him to a servant was an understatement. This was because he was very different from the other sons of the emperor. He was once the most beloved of his father's children but the event changed it all as Lenox had adopted to calling it. It was a rumour that had spread far and wide.
On his seventh birthday, his life took a whole 360 degree turn. The same way his black hair changed to white in that night which made many to think of him as a demon and his eyes also changes to blue. No one was able to explain these changes or rather there was someone who could explain it but they feared the consequences that it would've cost as they couldn't bear any of it. Since that day Lenox's life changed completely and his beautiful smile faded into nothingness. His mother watched as her son transformed from that jovial and always happy child who had a smile on his face to that boy who now had a cold smile on his face and had a restrained aura around him. He fell from grass to grace overnight and was forced to adapt to his current circumstances.
"Prince Lenox and consort Akira,welcome his majesty's decree.," a eunuch announced as he barged into the courtyard. Amora bowed to receive the decree while trying to restrain her tears as she knew that even if she warned Lenox could no longer leave. Meanwhile Lenox in his bloody and tattered robes that made him look like a beggar did not bow rather he stared at the eunuch with a cold and piercing gaze." Where is father ? We had a deal," Lenox asked in a neutral tone as he stared at the soldiers surrounding his courtyard." What a big lineup you have prepared to receive me. Am impressed," Lenox said in a scornful tone that he made no effort to hide." His majesty is busy so he did me to welcome the third prince personally and to congratulate you for making it out of the blood forest alive. Third prince is indeed a dragon among man. According to the decree of his majesty, your highness has not been tempered enough so the blood forest was a light punishment. It has been decided that his highness should make a trip to the Wolf forest for four years," the eunuch announced in a loud voice . Lenox did not show any emotions to any of this rather his expression was tranquil as though he had already expected such a result. He bowed and gave his mother a reassuring smile. He caressed her cheeks wiping away her tears before kissing her on the forehead.
Of all the emperor's sons Lenox was known for his vast knowledge as he was a bookworm. His love for books was definitely top notch and his cravings for knowledge was second to none. If Lenox claimed to be first when it comes to knowledge then no one could dare to claim to be first. At an early age of two years he was already able to speak fluently and he started to walk when he was two and half years old. Lenox was a heaven defying genius at a young age. When he was five years old and learnt how to read he locked himself ine he library for a year. The result was that he ended up reading all the books in the first,second and third floor of the library leaving an unbroken record so no one doubted his vast knowledge and even his parents had to admit their inferiority before him.
It was a norm that at the age of sixteen all the princes were allowed to leave the empire to go for training round the world as the empire was hidden in a very secretive location in an abandoned highland that no one wold even think of.
Despite being sentenced to stay in the Wolf forest for four years Lenox showed no fear as to him this was not even a punishment." Leave us for a while," Lenox offered as he still knelt besides his mother." Son, don't go . I'll go and speak to your father please don't go to that place," Akira pleaded in a fearful tone but Lenox only shook his head." Mother, fear not. I will be fine or are you forgetting that big guy is my friend. I will go and stay in its place so don't worry. Am only going on a vacation," Lenox said with a smile. The wolf forest as its name suggest was one if the defence line of the empire. It was a place filmed with packs of wolves which is believed to have been friends of the first emperor of Wolf empire who was raised by wolves.
"Son,I will go to your master. She can plead for you. His majesty always listens to her ," Akira said. Lenox sighed seeing his mother I such a situation but his eyes shone with determination. In his life he swore to never bend his knees to anyone. He was arrogant in nature but so what? Has life given him an option? "Mother ,let it be. Wait for me and take care of yourself. I'll be back before you know it," Lenox said as he left without looking back. Akira could only watch as her son left. The guards were already waiting for him." I have fulfilled my part of the bargain. She is now free. This place is cold so tell his majesty to grant her an official title and a new place. He should accompany her often so that she won't feel lonely when I am not around. Tell him that if he breaks his promise I wont spare him," Lenox said as he walked away towards his new habitat. The eumuch and the soldiers only stared at this scene in shock and admiration. They found it hard to believe that he was only 7years old.
