Vera and I shared a look, before we both nodded.
"Alright. Don't worry Reina, we can go look for the goblin chief. Let's go."
We readied our equipment as we headed into the passage.
We trod carefully as we gradually came in deeper. Surprisingly, there was no signs of traps whatsoever. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of tracks going in and out the passage. This lent credence to our assumption of the chief being up ahead.
One aspect that wasn't promising at all was how the size of the passage gradually shrunk smaller and smaller as we ventured further. This went on until the roof was only about two meters tall. Just a little more and we'd have to start ducking and might even turn back. It wasn't just the height either, even the width of the passage shrunk and was now only able to accommodate one person at a time.
