Chapter 10 - Amon‘s Battle

The Manzenier arena was filled with the excitement of the spectators waiting for the first fight of the day. The colors of the banners waved in the wind as the crowd loudly cheered the fighters. Amon, who just entered the ring, was ready to meet his challenge. His heart was beating fast.

Amon faced a powerful opponent whose reputation was feared in the city. But as he examined his opponent, he felt doubts and inner conflicts arise within him. Am I strong enough? he thought. What if I lose? What if I don't meet expectations?

Koman sat in the crowd, watching the arena carefully. As Amon fought, he asked the citizens next to him questions about King Zylir, who remained in the shadows. "What makes him so powerful? What has he accomplished?"

"King Zylir is the most powerful man in the world! No kingdom can hold a candle to him," answered an older man with shining eyes. "He won countless wars and expanded his country like no other. He is a true ruler!"

Koman couldn't help but laugh. So people with such thoughts really exist in this world? He couldn't believe that someone actually wanted to conquer the entire world like the rumors said. What madness!

The fight between Amon and his opponent was heated, and when Amon struck the first decisive blow, Koman felt a surge of pride. Amon managed to bring his opponent to the ground and win the first round. The crowd exploded with joy and Amon was celebrated by his fellow fighters for his achievements. Zylir watched the proceedings carefully, his interest piqued when he learned that Amon was only 16 years old.

After the fight, Amon was treated in the medical corner while Koman retreated to explore the city more closely. I need to find out more about Zylir and his plans, he thought. What is he really up to?

He wandered through the streets, which were bustling with busy merchants and happy citizens. Manzenier was truly a place full of life, but Koman sensed the uncertainty in the air. He kept hearing rumors about Zylir's desire for power and his ambitions to conquer the entire world.

Amon stood in the catacombs of the arena, waiting for the sound of the bells that announced the end of the first round of the tournament. He could hear the cries of excitement from the spectators outside, increasing with every second. Suddenly King Zylir's voice rang out, announcing the second round.

„Be ready, brave fighters! The second round of the tournament will begin soon!"

Koman sat in the crowd, a little apart from the others. As he looked around, he noticed that the mood of the people was mixed. Some were excited, but others seemed concerned. In conversations he heard that Zylir had conquered several kingdoms in recent years, faster than anyone thought possible. Some of the citizens whispered, "If he keeps this up, he could soon be against all the other kingdoms at once!"

An old man next to Koman, visibly scarred by the crowd's fighting and cheering, turned to him. "I once fought for King Zylir," he began. "He was a great warlord, I cannot deny that. But he is also a cruel manipulator. His lies are as sweet as honey, and he has the ability to draw even the best soldiers into his plans. His intelligence is enormous, and yet his true goal remains a secret that even those closest to him cannot guess, which is why he won so often."

The old man continued, "I can't help but think that the other kingdoms will begin to turn against him. When the time comes, Zylir will face the consequences of his actions. But whether it will be too late to change anything is anyone's guess."

With these words in mind, Koman watched Amon as he prepared for the second round. It was a crucial time for both of them, and while Amon faced the challenges, Koman felt the weight of the world on his shoulders. Political tensions in Manzenier were beginning to heat up, and Koman knew he had to learn more about the power games going on behind the scenes.

The tournament promised more than just fights. It was a catalyst for changes in Manzenier. Koman was determined not to be just a spectator, but to actively intervene in the events that would unfold.
