"Come have a seat, Doctor Donald. Sorry for the way they were acting. I think their food has been mixed with some weird stuff, they could be high or something. They behave so strangely," Captain Chalse said.
Doctor Donald walked to the chair offered by Captain Chalse and sat down. He looked at Captain Charles and said, "It's a pleasure to be with you here, Captain."
Then he shifted his gaze to Jane. "You always carry this mannerless and rude character everywhere you go. "I could observe you experiencing that pain all day," Doctor Donald whispered silently to himself as he stared at her.
Then he shifted his gaze from her to Zimpa. "This fool always takes everything as a joke. I hope he changes someday. Nevertheless, it's good you all experience the pain. With this, you learn a lesson."
"It's good having you in our midst, Doctor Donald," Captain Chalse said, his lips curling into a warm smile as he welcomed Doctor Donald.
"I called you here to discuss something very important. We have to tackle the issue as fast as possible; if not, our plan will be ruined. I believe there is a betrayer among us. They move and do things with us," Captain Chalse said while looking at Austin, who was facing the opposite direction.
Shranka, who was always quiet, listened carefully to what they were saying. Meanwhile, Jane and Zimpa were still under the torment of Captain Chalse's electrical punishment. Zimpa was gnashing his teeth while Jane was trying to speak out, pleading to Captain Chalse, but she couldn't speak out clearly.
Ca.. caa.. captain, pl.. ple.. please, she said in pins. Captain Charles decides to ignore them and continue talking.
"Hmmmm, this is new," Doctor Donald responded. "If we have a traitor for real, it means we are in big trouble. Even though we have some traitors with us, they can't get out of this underground facility alive. The chip implanted in them won't allow them to. On reaching the last gate, their heads will blow up." doctor Donald responded.
"Yes, I am aware of that, Doctor. Let's just hope this won't end up going wrong," Captain Chalse said while rubbing his chin. "What about my weapon? Is it active and fully trained for the mission I have for it tomorrow?" he asked.
"Absolutely, Captain." The machine doesn't require any training. As I told you earlier, the Neurocore is a life-conscious technology on its own. I looked for a way to put it into a host. I tried a life host, but it ended in failure, leading to self-destruction. So I used a dead host, and to my surprise, it worked, and the Neurocore brought the lifeless body to life. I wasn't expecting that either, but it worked."
"Hmmmm, what if this turns against us?" Captain Chalse asked.
"I had the same thought, Captain." That's why I created the Milgani fluid. It neutralizes and eliminates any memories being kept, so we can have total control of it. But there is no 100% surety that it will work forever, except we keep feeding more Milgani fluid into it."
"Hmmmm, that's impressive," Captain Chalse said.
"Sir, this tech is way harder to understand. The Neurocore is a technology that is not ours, so it will be hard to understand. I am trying hard to make sure that everything goes as planned."
"Hmmmm, okay, if you say so. But make sure that he can take this mission tomorrow. Because I need to get that tech and add it to my collection."
"Yes, sir, definitely, I will," Doctor Donald replied.
"Now, back to the traitor. When I was reading some books, I noticed a hack alert on my phone. Someone was trying to hack into a specific thing, but I can't figure out what that exact thing was. Hmmm, that person must be very intelligent to sneak up on us and do such a thing. I tried to trace where the hack alert was pinpointing, but I couldn't. Maybe you can try and check on it later," Captain Chalse sighed while bringing his hands down from his chin.
"Yes, sir, I will check on it. I don't know, but I think if you can have mercy on Zimpa and Jane. They might be foolish sometimes, but you have to deactivate the shock waves in their system to avoid damages," Doctor Donald begged.
"I wish they could stay in the shock waves forever. But if this takes too long, their systems will be damaged. Doctor Donald said.
You have to let them go or I will be the one being stressed later. The hard work to fix it will be brought to me, which is very annoying," Doctor Donald whisper in thought to himself.
"Oooooh, hahaha, I totally forgot about that," Captain Chalse said while smiling. "It's really surprising that you care. I thought you disliked them, especially Jane. Haha, since it's you pleading for their release, I will let them go this time, but next time will be harsher than this."
"Thank you Captain for considering," Doctor Donald replied.
Oooh it's nothing Donald, captain Charles said while smiling. He then dipped his hand into his pocket and brought out the device. He then pressed another button on it to deactivate the shock waves inside their bodies.
In an instant, Jane breathed out heavily as soon as the shock left her body. She coughed while holding her chest. Meanwhile, Zimpa stood still as if nothing had happened. He just took a simple inhale and exhale of oxygen, then sat back on his chair.
Jane looked at him with surprise and anger spreading across her face. "Even with this, he remains calm. He resisted it. What kind of being is he? I totally forgot that we have been implanted with a punishment chip inside our bodies.
All I was thinking was that, with the way we ranked up to this stage, we were totally free and above punishment. Surprisingly, he still holds control over our bodies and can do whatever he chooses at any time if we make a mistake," Jane murmured in thought as she shifted her gaze in fear. Towards zimpa.
Her heart pounded as she looked at Zimpa. "You caused this entirely. And now you are not even feeling the pain of the punishment. I hate you fool."
With pain spreading across her body, Jane sat back on her chair slowly.
"Hahaha, next time you have to behave whenever I'm close to you guys. We are all family for God's sake. I wonder why you guys always fight," Captain Chalse exclaimed, taking a deep breath. He stretched his hand and picked up a cup filled with wine, he then took a sip of it and exclaimed.
"Sorry, sir, for the way we acted," Zimpa apologized, shining his teeth as he shifted his gaze towards Captain Chalse. "My deepest apologies, sir," he said.
"Haha, it's nothing, Zimpa. Just behave when you are close to me, okay?"
"I'm also sorry, sir," Jane spoke out, her head facing the ground.
"Haha, you guys are making me shy. Stop that," Captain Chalse laughed jokingly.
Captain Chalse is a tough man, but his outside facial expressions make him look like a sheep, though deep inside, he's a wolf in sheep's clothing. He can be angry and still laughing at the same time. Sometimes he fights while laughing. He has similar characteristics to Zimpa, but in his own aspect, he talks slowly.
"Now that we are all seated here, it's better I discuss with you what the problem is and why you all are summoned here. I have discussed half of the matter with Doctor Donald, but there is more to it.
As you well know, our aim is to make this world a better place for people like us. We have to create a civilization that we all benefit from. As you can see, the way the world is changing, everything is becoming harder, and the government is literally taking everything for themselves. I want us to watch our backs and make sure that our plan works as planned.
We have a spy in this building, as well in the research facility who would have been linking info from here to the outside somehow. I think it's one of the workers or someone who knows a few things here. That person was able to hack into something important that I can't figure out. When he hacked it, he somehow cloned it in a way that it wouldn't show it had been hacked. So it will be very difficult to know what was actually jacked.
We all have to act fast, increase security, and figure out what has been hacked and manipulated."
