Farv and I sat a few yards away from Ytria, giving her ample time to grieve. For the last few hours, she had been staring at her mentor's corpse, unmoving.
It grew late into the night and yet we still stayed here. It probably wasn't the smartest idea, considering a branded could be around the corner at any moment, but none of us felt like moving. We were too tired.
Tomorrow, the journey could continue.
Well, my journey. I looked over at Farv, who had fallen asleep at some point. His slow rhythmic breathing was the only sign he was alive. Aruna looked that peaceful when she slept too. I was going to save her, but I'm not putting Farv in danger.
Tomorrow he was going to stay behind.
