Time slowed to a crawl as an unimaginable force picked the remnants of a broken planet up, dissolving it into a whirlwind of white sparks.
Brilliant light dazzled in outer space, and the powerful force of a vacuum became deafening, almost as if it was calling the entire emptiness of space to warp and act along with it. An ominous feeling settled, and the air around turned extremely somber.
What Is going to happen to Voidforce Universe?
Who is going to rescue it from the impending doom of total annihilation?
Where is the hope for people living within its vestiges.? Where exactly is the hope for a perfect future?
They simply watched as their home broke apart, struck by the white lightening lines of a very strange energy...
Powerful vacuum sound tore through the Voidforce universe, breaking the atmosphere and fracturing reality like it was glass.
This was the end!
The universe was broken to tiny particles and then, swallowed completely by a vortex.
The end...
However, within the emptiness of outer space, someone was escaping from the annihilating vortex. The viola Spacecraft, as small as the size of a mini cuboid flitted through the embrace of space and as if alive, the powerful vortex simmered with an eerie light and it's maw that resembles a gateway started off in the direction of the human kid who seem to have been the only survivor left after Voidforce destruction.
The seventeen years old boy stared at the all-consuming vortex with a frightened expression on his face. Voidforce universe had been one of the most flourishing planet in all of Sutton's galaxy. Their governance had been a bit different from his former planet, but when a planet was predicted to be annihilated by the impervious vortex, there's actually no miracle that can be done to alleviate the situation. The vortex doesn't just seek the planets annihilation, but instead derive immense power from consuming innocent lifeforms.
And to be precise, the vortex could already sense that a lifeform had just escaped being eaten up by it.
The boy, Aaron Saen had already prepared himself before the impending calamity erupts. But his expectations was defied by human logic the moment he realized that his life was already at risk.
Aaron screamed as reality broke before him, almost as if the fabric of existence was coming undone.
The cuboid spacecraft drifted through the cracks that reality had created as a trap only to be teleported a few distance behind.
These cracks were more like, wormholes that takes a spacecraft fifty to hundred of light years ahead of their current location. But this particular one differed in their distance.
The collapsing sound of the void became so much deafening that Aaron was forced to cringe..
FWHUUMM!
He maneuvered the spacecraft to the left and a collapsing force impacted on the void. The empty space where he had dodged twisted and opened.
"Where do I even go from here?"
Aaron felt a bit disturbed. The reason he had left his main origin, earth had been because of a certain tragic event that led to him being accused of a universal crime.
So, before he was caught and killed by the world mob, he had already set up a few protocols and made his escape three years ago.
And now, three years later his current planet, Voidforce had been consumed by a ravenous vortex.
Even disturbing as it seems, this vortex also seek his life.
Aaron turned and his eyes widened.
A red light emanated from the all-consuming vortex and he saw a mark.
'What?'
In a speed that surpassed light, that mark appeared upon Aaron's forehead.
"Huh?"
He suddenly fumed. "What the hell is this?"
The vortex suddenly stopped chasing and Aaron's brows furrowed.
His spacecraft continued on and on, and the distance between him and the vortex kept growing until it became a speck of dust in his eyes.
Aaron was suddenly trying to wonder why it suddenly stopped giving chase only to discover that the spacecraft was no longer going at it's designed speed.
It was going much faster than normal as if, being pulled by a certain force.
Aaron felt himself crying without tears.
First, earth had labelled him a planet fugitive.
Then, Voidforce planet was destroyed by an all-consuming vortex.
The vortex had marked him as a food for later.
And now, he was caught up in a space radiation.
A whirlpool of power pulled the cuboid spaceship about and then, the energy it radiated started to peel off and corrode the metal.
In no time, the spacecraft was gone leaving just Aaron within the radiation, his body changing from its initial one, mutating and bulging completely.
All of a sudden, his body couldn't handle the mutation and his hands bloated and burst.
A heart wrenching wail echoed off into outer space but the wailing came to an abrupt halt when, Aaron's head exploded due to the immense pressure and mutation.
* * *
Aaron thought that it was the end.
He had felt the immense pain, a pain unlike no other. Something that cannot be described as bittersweet.
No, this pain is the kind one feel when dying. The pain the exist to the mortal body once One's breath ceases.
Aaron had felt it all.
But something else hit him like a huge surprise.
Yes, his head had exploded.
His lungs had been severed completely and all breath of air had escaped his body.
So... What IS this Place?
"Am I in the Great beyond?"
A question that has already been answered by the futility of reality itself.
Yes, Aaron was dead.
But no, he isn't In the Great Beyond.
And if that's the case, then... Where is this place?
Aaron saw himself surrounded by darkness. Almost as consuming as the vortex itself.
The place that he was replicated thousand of tiny stars which illuminated the darkness, drawing out the tapestry of fate like a channeling obelisk.
Aaron saw his naked and lean figure.
Is this his soul?
If this was how his soul was moulded jnto after death, then the sculptor did a very bad job.
Aaron shook his head in distaste but then froze.
It was a voice.
Who's voice is that?
[Welcome to your first Dream Curse Aspirant]
"Huh?"
"What is a dream curse and why do I have it?"
Aaron did not bother asking anymore question knowing full well that he was not going to get an answer. So he simply waited for the voice to explain more.
It didn't take long though and he heard that magnetic voice once again.
[You have been killed miserably by the path you took and now, you have been given a chance to take another path...]
[Do you wish to Continue in Death or Take this new Path? The choice is yours]
Aaron's eyes widened.
"Are you kidding me? Who in their right mind would see a second chance and leave it for death?"
Quickly, he replied.
"Take this new path!"
[Good Choice!]
There was a moment of silence and then a strange runes popped up at his line of sight.
At first, it was a foreign write-up but then, it was quickly translated into the normal english that he understands.
Aaron froze seeing what it is.
[Your fate is decided.Your destiny is in the hands of the cosmos.]
Your Fate: (All things good and evil)
Your Destiny : (Nil)
Aaron was flabbergasted.
His destiny was Nil, meaning... It was nonexistent. He had no destiny which is very frustrating.
"Why?"
No one was there to reply to him.
[A second chance adopted by the deity of divine seek that you jnherit the fated skill.]
'A skill?'
Aaron was suddenly excited.
In Voidforce planet, the only thing that set him apart from the others is their corresponding skills and class. While he watched them do unique things. ... Something that even the humans on earth would not do, he still wished that one day, the universe would realize him and bestow to him their unimaginable power.
Now, Aaron thinks that, the universe is finally heeding to his wishes.
A new set of runes appeared.
