Chapter 19 - HE WOULD GET TIRED OF YOU

ISABELLA

I stormed toward Emilio's office, my anger boiling over with the file of Sabino in my hands.

I don't know what power he has in this country, but every single time the states support him, and always get him out of any craziness he gets himself into.

Now the state is supporting him in helping to prosecute someone who trespassed on his property and stole his fucking golden statue.

If it was someone else that I had to support. I wouldn't stress myself, and just go on with the case, but not on him.

I disliked supporting evil people. He had gone through many bad things. I am not going to do what the state wants this time around.

I pushed Emilio's door open and what I saw took my breath away. Emilio and that same lady I had met in the Chairman's office were in a compromising position, kissing passionately. I felt like I had been punched in the gut.

My eyes widened in disgust as I froze in the doorway. "What the...?" I trailed off, my voice laced with shock and anger.

Emilio pulled away from the lady, a smug grin spreading across his face with no look of guilt.

"Ah, Isabella. Welcome to my office, don't you think you should knock next time before barging inside?" he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

I narrowed my eyes. "What is going on here?" I demanded.

The lady smiled sweetly at me. "Just a little meeting, darling," she said, her voice condescending.

My anger boiled over. "You're disgusting," I spat at Emilio.

Emilio chuckled. "Jealous, Isabella?" he taunted. "We are divorced already or isn't her giving you the feelings you want?"

I felt my face twist in rage, that damn ego he has, always feel that I am obsessed with him. He treats me unfairly, does not care about how hurt my feelings are, and even crushes it like there is no heart in there.

"Yeah, since you are not married to him anymore, you shouldn't barge in and make it feel like we are cheating or something," the weird lady added.

I don't know much about her, I am not the kind that mingles with people in the firm unless a certain case brings us together.

I have always seen her but never had an encounter with her so I hardly know much.

Her words make me wonder since when Emilio had been cheating on me, how stupid have I been to allow him to use me like a fool?

"Wow, I was sad and speechless when I found out that you were cheating on me with my step-sister, so not only why are you cheating on me with my step-sister but her?" Emilio's eyes widened and the lady glanced at him.

"Emilio, what is she talking about?" I folded my hands against my chest to enjoy this show.

"Well, I am saying you are not the only one he is having an affair with," I repeated and Emilio yelled my name.

"What is your problem, shut up!" he yelled at me.

The lady's eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back from Emilio. Emilio's grin faltered, and he took a step forward, his eyes flashing with anger.

"That has nothing to do with this, don't listen to her" he snarled.

She yanked his hands off her and slapped Emilio across the face. "You're a disgusting pig," she spat.

I gasped, now having a satisfying look on my face, and Emilio's face turned red with rage.

"Don't you ever call on me again! You dog!" She yelled and stormed toward me.

"And you…" I gestured for her to stop, "You have no right to warn me off or say any fucking bad language I wouldn't like."

"Remember you knew he was married and you cheated with him on me," she was speechless at this point.

"I don't get it you are cheating on a married man thinking he wouldn't cheat on you with someone else Stupid."

"You!" She pointed her finger but I grabbed then bent it, "You don't have to get mad. The chairman can also warm your bed. Continue being the whore of the firm." I pushed her away.

She scoffed so embarrassed and then stormed off making me roll my eyes, "Bitch." I muttered and glanced at Emilio.

"Guess you still want me back," He teased, strolling toward me like a lost hen.

"Wow, you amaze me, Emilio, aren't you supposed to be mad that that lady left," he swatted his hands unbothered.

"Not like I care for her, just using her to pass the time, I am only mad you didn't allow me to have my way today before stopping me,"

I shook my head filled with embarrassment wondering how I fell for this scumbag in the past.

"I am only here for one reason, I want you to transfer the cases under my name back to me," I said, my voice as it shoved the files in his arms.

"Excuse me? Aren't you the vice chairman you are only to handle VIP clients," he stated, "I am not… I would only work for the masses,"

"And who said he is not among the masses you are supposed to work for?"

I rolled my eyes. "I don't have time for your games, Emilio. Just transfer the cases," I said my voice firm.

Just then, Emilio grabbed me by my shirt, his fingers digging deep into my skin as he pulled me back against the door.

"Games?" he repeated, his voice low and menacing. "You think I play games?"

I struggled to break free, but Emilio's grip only tightened. "Hey, let go of me," I warned, trying to keep my voice steady.

"You don't want my husband to find out about this, do you?"

Emilio's laughter was like a cold breeze on a winter night. "Your husband?" he repeated, his eyes glinting with amusement. "I..."

I cut him off, my voice firm. "I divorced you already, and there's nothing between us anymore."

Emilio's grin faltered, and for a moment, I thought I saw a flash of anger in his eyes. But then, his smile returned, wider and more mocking than before.

"It wasn't even up to a week after you divorced me that you already hooked up with him," he sneered.

"You're only lucky no one knew we were married before, or you would have been eaten up by the crowd."

I felt a surge of anger at his words, and I stepped on his foot, pushing him away from me.

"It doesn't change the fact that the world will see you as a cheater," He spat, and I slapped him on his face.

Emilio's eyes flashed with anger, and he growled, "You bastard!" I shrieked.

"You can feel on top of the world now, Isabella," Emilio sneered. "But know this, he can't love you. He only wants your body. He was the one who popped your cherry, after all. You are not as different from me as you think."

I bit my lip in anger, feeling a wave of rage wash over me. "Hope you don't realize too late that he will get tired of you and dump you," Emilio said.

I stood there, my heart pounding with anger, as Emilio turned and walked out of his office, leaving me feeling shaken and furious.
